Huge mistake by NBA, no need to suspend him for a game. Just shows how soft NBA is today.

No, it's a good decision. You can't go around grabbing guys by the head and attempting to pull some MMA **** on them. That's how brawls start. I know some fans live for that drama but it has no place in basketball and the league needs to make that clear. Some of you act like the "physical" 90s were a good thing-- that was some of the worst basketball ever played. And don't go off on how the 80s was physical (unlike most of you I was in person for hundreds of games in the 80s). Yeah, there were some tolerated hard fouls but the game as a whole was way less physical than today because the players were much more slight and it was about a fluid, running game.

Talk about reaching, there is no evidence "MMA ****" was about to occur. These players are unlikely to pull that crap when they get paid so much. Its supposed to be a somewhat contact sport, there's bound to a few tussles.

Also, its a matter of opinion about the physical 90s being enjoyable. A benefit was you were less likely to get phantom calls....now you see random fouls....don't know when a foul will be called....its almost like soccer.

I dunno, just seems to me that grabbing a guy by the head and trying to drag him down is just as bad as throwing a punch at him. Point being, that kind of crap can't be tolerated and if this ends up costing the Wiz a game, then maybe lesson learned.

I thought the 90s era initiated by the Pistons, passed to the Knicks, and concluded by the Bulls was the worst basketball in the last 30 years. It was slow, ugly, and more like football than basketball. I know a lot of people hate the new rules that give guards more freedom, but the product on the court today is vastly superior to what was present in the mid-90s.

    I've known Lauren for years.

She is one of the nicest PEOPLE I know.

Jimmy has never met her, and in the spirit of competition, called her some choice words. He also questioned Ne's interest in women ( in the douchiest way possible) during the exchange.

When things are competitive, some people pop off at the mouth with stupid comments instead of leaving it at competition.

NeNe feels a ton of guilt for the loss and is obviously pissed by the decision. An ejection was enough.

Sorry to those of you that think he's a bad dude. He's not. His ejection was more than warranted though.

Even our Rockets have gotten into it with guys.

And don't mess with my homie because he will mess you up!!!!;)

Butler was wrong to try to stand up out of that clinch. He should have just smashed Nene's remaining testicle with a short right and then come up with palm strike under the chin or maybe used the top/back of his head to smash the face.

That's what I would have done (in my imagination).

I have to imagine that things get said about everyone and their wives, boyfriends or etc all the time. Nene should have known better. Not sure why he would choose this instance (key time in the playoffs) to get so riled up.

Bottom line (IMO) is that the players shouldn't be able to initiate physical contact with each other when arguing. A little verbal spattering on top of being tangled up at the end of play is OK but Nene did deserve to sit a game.

It just sucks because Washington is now my #2 team and I love watching them (and Nene). If you guys haven't watched them much this year you are missing a good team.

Wall is breathtakingly entertaining. Beal, Nene, Ariza, Gortat are also solid players.

I've known my wife for years and if anyone talked mess about her, I'd laugh because I've known my wife for years. You don't get in a spot where you can get in a fight. You just go dunk on the guy or take a foul by throwing him to the floor during a contested rebound.
