If I were a clippers player, after a made dunk or big shot I would celebrate by doing the black power salute .. That would be the ultimate insult to sterling

the point is that there are millions of people practicing that same religion, so mocking all of them just for this idiot's actions makes no sense

People who prostitute themselves typically aren't all THAT picky about their clientele outside of not going with folks that will beat the crap out of them.

At least they're honest in their motives. They want money and are willing to trade on their bodies and/or dignity.

The question is how many "fans" and "players" will make the same devil's bargain.

C'mon. You're trying too hard. No one needs to set up Donald Sterling. This is reportedly just how he is. All you gotta do is press "record" and let the magic happen.

A measure of someone's character is how they respond to injustice. If Sterling's comments are legitimate, then the proper response for blacks would be to rise above this base level of discourse and treat him with kindness. The teachings of Jesus and the behavior of Nelson Mandela would be consistent with this response. Hate responding to hate does no good.

Sterling needs help, not anger directed towards him, in order to mature in his racial understanding. The immediate, emotional response by most would be to be vindictive. This reaction is not helpful. The reaction that will do the most good, and create the most sympathy, would be to respond with kindness. This is the most effective response.

My suggestion for Chris Paul and the other Clippers would be to wear an armband that symbolizes racial healing.

i dont think he is doing that. it is possible for him to be a racist jerk AND for her to be a low class gold digging tramp at the same time.

it is funny he likes the 1/2 and 1/2 blk/hisp thing, but is anti-black. you would think he would be with a hot young blond girl

these were private comments, so it will be interesting to see what the league will do.

i cant say that im hurt that an LA team/ownership just crapped the bed

Did you listen to the tape. She clearly was baiting him on. He wanted to stop talking about it but she brought it back. Most likely cause her relationship was ending and she couldn't get anymore money out of him. So her one last Monday grab was TMZ. Not defending him but it's his views and he came across as honest at least. Her on the other hand came across as fake and phony and a total w****

    Uh, NO.

Nelson Mandela advocated international SANCTIONS against South Africa. He believed one of the primary ways to force change was for the world to show their outrage through financial punishment of the South African regime.

He did not believe in violence, but Sanctions are NOT violence. They are a monetary way of expressing disapproval of a regime and government that he felt was an indignity to humanity.

Mandela believed that only through an international expression of support through financial punishment would there be sufficient pressure upon the South African regime to consider abolishing Apartheid.

That doesn't sound like arm bands to me...

    that's exactly what sterling wants.

"be a good negro and go out there and get some rebounds and dunks and make massa more money"

the only way for him to learn is to hit him in his pockets.

not playing or purposely not trying to give effort and lose games will create a bigger story than some stupid armbands.

The Clippers players/staff are just covering their asses and jobs while acting outraged and waiting for the NBA itself to solve the problem for them.
