Just now listening to the audio clip. How could anyone who is black or any other minority want to play or work one more day under this ******* in the Clips organization???? I sure wouldn't.

Hope you don't shop at CostCo or Amazon or any of the other big club stores either. They are all just as unscrupulous as Walmart.

I don't feel my soul being sucked out of my body when I shop online at Amazon. Sorry.

The situations are not the same, naturally, but it reminds me of the Marge Schott situation with the Cincy Reds back in the 90's. The first time she spouted off some racist nonsense, MLB suspended her for a year: she couldn't set foot on any MLB property nor have contact with anyone who worked for the Reds. A couple of years later she did it again, and MLB essentially forced her to sell the team.

So there is a precedent in American pro sports for dealing with something similar to this. I don't see any way Sterling can continue as owner of the Clips.

    Massive load of crap.

Sterling owns the team to make money.

If the Clippers win they play more games and Sterling makes more money. If the Clippers win a championship, the team is worth more money and Sterling makes more money.

Every item you buy with a Clippers logo puts money in the pockets of Donald Sterling.
Every ticket you buy puts money in the pockets of Donald Sterling.
Every sponsor whose products you buy puts more money in the pockets of Donald Sterling.

Yes, supporting the Clippers supports the players and the coaches, but face the reality, you're also supporting Donald Sterling as long as a dime of your money goes into his pockets.

As for the crap about "being a professional", I'm sure that MLK, Nelson Mandela, Malcolm X and Muhammed Ali would all be saying, "It's okay if your labors make a racist rich... after all, you're just being a professional."

When you are a World Class athlete on an international stage, your responsibilities are greater than the normal person. Your behavior is watched by millions. Your words are heard by millions. And how you respond to social injustice is a message that resonates with millions.

So what kind of message do YOU want to send to Donald Sterling?

"Yah, you're a racist douche and think me/my friends/family are dirt but I love basketball... so here, go ahead and more money"?

    I'll pass on that, thanks.

Where do you draw the line, torocan? Do you only eat organic? Do you only shop at stores that don't have sketchy business practices? Do you live in the USA where so much of our tax dollars go towards some very questionable endeavors in the name of "defense"?

Or do you just watch sports as a diversion and not really give a **** about where the money is going?

LOL Silver would never allow the Clippers to anywhere near the chip as long as sterling is the owner. Can you imagine the NBA champs have a crazy racist owner, the NBA probably wants Clippers to be irrelevant so the story blows over quicker.

I'm surprised it was so tame considering how big of a scum bag Sterling is.

Probably has something to do with it being a conversation with his half black hooker.

I've never bought anything walmart that fell appart just like that. I think Walmart has Costco standards of making sure every product that have hits a certain mark. Only think I don't like is their ground meats, harsh bone fragments in them but otherwise Wally is a winner.

I doubt he every got it up and did any drilling in her. I think kissy here and there was it. She could have had a better looking dude. I guys think Sterling put his probe in her, that alone would deter her future suitors.

Well honestly its probably just a writeoff for him because his money is really made in real estate moreso than the Clippers themselves.

I do think its wrong to take it out on the players the city and the fans because of his warped view. That said, the dude has become a league association issue because of this and they need to deal with it and not just some blanket fine or some lame suspension.

Remember how they did that Mavs player when he said some crazy stuff about the national anthem on a cell phone video. Josh Howard?
