Whoever made the decision to keep Daniels with the team and work him in the rotation deserves a raise
How was it not? He proved at the end of the season that he was worthy of an opportunity. This team needs shooters to be effective and Moreys rent-a-shooters went cold a long time ago. Seems like a pretty easy call to make, especially with harden AND parson s struggling. The sooner you establish Daniels as a threat, the sooner you can use him to open to the floor. And McHale had no choice. He would have been fired on the spot if we went down three to zero with Daniels on the bench. And his call was to have a struggling Parsons out there, but he fouled out.
Daniels reminds me more of Boobie Gibson and the spark he provided for the Cavs. Should have been playing a long time ago.
I think this is about the 1st time Lin actually get the FULL Playoffs experience from basically this one game alone. Last year and the year with the Knicks, he didn't get any minutes. So this series, he actually got the full Playoffs experience...especially this game and hopefully that makes him a better player. He definitely redeem himself about that missed layup...that was devastating. Did you him Portland player swat Lin in the head?? How is that not flagrant foul? That's dangerous. I also feel that the refs tend to call against Lin even though there wasn't much contact. The shot by Lilliard as he drove and put up a lucky shot and draw the foul.....that was clearly a foul by Lin...but other time i feel Lin doesn't get the benefit of the doubt. I feel refs are against him just like hand swatting his head .....he gets no flagrant call for that.
I called it too. I said "daniels will hit the game winning shot" when he checked in for parsons in OT. my friends were like "don't know about that"
This. Daniels is the only one in the entire roster that only needs a small crease to make a 3-pointer. Dude is just adapt at making those shots. McHale needs to find minutes for him.
Seeing flashes of this (@ 4:40 "And the Rockets win game 3!")?!?! <iframe width="640" height="390" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/qunCpYSvnqo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
#DanielsOnlyFan What I love is that he was jumping up and down, waving his hands, begging Lin to give him the ball. He is fearless, and God knows we could use more of that.
And his man wouldn't leave him during the original play....can't believe he didn't get minutes before..
who would've thought this last minute pickup possibly saved or extended our season. There has been some miracles happening in this years playoffs: KD 4pt play, RW 4pt play, and TreyD 3pt dagger would definitely make the list.
To be fair, Daniels was lucky he got the ball. When Lin picked up the loose ball, if he had turned his head, he would've seen he had 3 options, a Howard lob, a Harden in the corner, and Daniels open on the wing. Looking back at the replay, I'm really really surprised that he didn't throw the lob to Dwight.
