Two bad games? (First game he had 24 points, btw). Too bad we didn't cut him to make room for Dexter Pittman
Parsons has proven that he simply can't be relied upon to give you consistent offensive production, and his defense is below average. His shot release is so wildly inconsistent and it's no surprise he's prone to going into slumps. I'm confident Morey will do the right thing and execute a buy low/sell high trade with Parsons. His reputation around the league is very positive so his value can definitely help us get a 3rd all-star.
The rim protection that's been hurting Parsons is also stopping Harden. Between the refs generally swallowing their whistles a bit more and Portland's length inside, Harden's drives have been turning up empty.
Remember when Parsons was actually a plus defender with some offense sprinkled in? I remember interviews where he said his defense was why he got to start in the first place. Parsons is too much of a talker. Always says the right thing or the thing you want him to say but doesn't really play up to his talk. I love Parsons but I'm starting to find it so annoying. Stop talking and play. That's is how you are going to get paid. Not by saying you're a top 5 SF and playing like the usual second round pick.
Lol, are you new to basketball?? I have been watching since the 80s... and let me tell you something. It's all about options. Last year, the rox were not a contender. they were just a novelty. After James, they had no real scorers and someone had to put up numbers. Does it mean they were meaningful numbers? Does it mean he was capable of helping the team win? Sorry, but not really. the playoffs not only expose him as a $4 mil player, but someone we can't afford to have next to Harden. AND GUESS WHAT? All of a sudden, the Rox are up by 10 and Harden has 27. That's why I was never worried about him.
I think Parsons just singlehandedly gave the game to the Blazers. Got the crowd and. MO Williams into the game.
I've never been a fan of Parsons. Always think he's been overhyped on his game. Defense and Offense. I'm always down to throw him in trades, & I see that happening this summer.
His earning potential is dropping like a rock. The Rockets might sign him for the vet minimum. Just kidding. I think he is going to have a great remainder of the series. The Rockets are just now coming to life, warming up, almost awake. Best games still coming.
So I just want to be certain about how we feel about our players: Parson's exposed Harden's exposed but showed up today Dwights good Bev's good Lin's still linconsistent Asik's is an oaf Daniels is GOAT !!!! Right? I guess we'll have to wait for the next game before all these change again.
Parsons is what he is. Poor defender on small players and he can't create his own shot. He needs to be a slasher and a spot up shooter. All the photo shoots with naked models and hand bras may have convinced him that he's something he's not.
