    You don't get it.

This is not about Harden's horrible performance on Game 1 & 2. This is about Harden taking responsibility and accountability as a leader of the team and owning up to his failures.

That being said, I hope he backs up with what he said and play tonight's game like it's his last nba game and give a 110% effort on the court!

Yeah there is NO comparison to Tmac..he's just talking him missing his shots, and saying its on him to make them...not that the outcome of the game is on him like Tmac did (and of course blamed bad teammates after they lost).

I don't want to hear the bark! Show me the bite Harden!...

Even if his offensive game doesn't show up, I need to see him give a da** about playing some defense! Show me you have some pride in you and don't just talk about someone else's defensive lapse's!

    Let him figure it out.

Since the coaches are clueless, he's out there trying to solve the POR defense and the refs' calls by himself. I just wish he would show leadership on court and rally the troops from time to time. "Now this is what we have to do ..."

Taking responsibility and being accountable is meaningless unless change after the fact occurs. Dwight said similar things at the end of game 1, but he came to play in game 2.

I don't believe him for a second. He has been getting killed by the media all week. He's just trying to save face

His remarks remind me of Tmac "It's on ME!" - why do Rockets superstars always want to do this to us??

Well, that's why we will judge him after tonight's game. I have a good feeling we'll win

What's more interesting is Lin's post-practice interview from today. He says they've had to figure out a lot of their problems on their own. Also says he agrees w/ Harden that it's them against the world b/c they've accepted this is the team they have and they aren't getting any new players. LMFAO.

Dwight showed up in Game 2 and owned the first quarter. He hyped everyone up including the players and home crowd. Somehow I felt that Harden doesn't quite like it. He looked disinterested without the ball in his hand.

The reverse is also true. Dwight pouts and disappears when he isn't involved offensively. Maybe not the correct response, but not atypical of very good players who are accustomed to being offensively involved.

ETA: I do agree Harden checked out. If Dwight would give in to running the PNR consistently, they could both be involved....

Eh? He took responsibility after both Game 1 and Game 2. After Game 1 he said:
After Game 2 he was just sick of getting asked about his offense because he had already explained that he was struggling and obviously feels guilty about sucking. Their team defense does suck, but he is implicated in that as well.

This is a non-story. It really doesn't matter what anyone says in an interview. Kill him if he doesn't show up tonight on offense.

I'm starting to think that a lot of posters in here are really trolls who relish it when things go bad.............................

He's taking responsibility. Like a man. James Harden, yeah I think I'd keep him. Fools.

You are right. I just wish they had better chemistry by now after a full season together. They can learn so much from the Heat's big 3. 3 superstars accepting that there is only 1 spotlight.

So if not going to the hole was the issue in game one, why did he try to get to the basket even less in game 2? and then say it was all about defense after game two. All about team defense? when he let matthews out for an open dunk?

Also, he kept saying the shots weren't falling. Dude was just trying to stay under the radar after game 1, didn't do anything different in game 2 and now the media is crushing him, so he is trying to save face.

Bout damn time. He is young, but the key is he needs to show that he is growing and learning and I haven't seen signs of that until now. I feel like I can root for this man again tonight. Thanks James...keep it up.
