but honestly, i watched the last rockets playoff game, and I am not trying to sound harsh, but the way the rockets play basketball as if they have some sort of privileged anointing to be great, truly sickens me.

my uncle is a rockets fan so I was rooting for the rockets for his sake, but like i said, i could never be a rockets fan just because they don't even try to play defense, they have no half court game and they are supposed to be great?

there was a stat that i heard about that said james harden and chandler parsons has the exact same minutes in the regular season and yet parsons ran 30 miles more than harden in that stretch.

I mean you might think I am being a douche but really who could get behind a rockets team that does what they do on a nightly basis.

 

Spurs and OKC are going down. This is like predicting an NCAA pool

 

I don't like OKC so if Rockets don't win it, at least I can enjoy watching OKC lose.

probably so, but i can't imagine that james harden and dwight are gaining houston fans. Most fans of the rockets, I would imagine, are holdovers from the tmac/yao/battier era, or the hakeem/clyde/horry era.

the rockets fans i know wouldn't put up with this crap that harden and dwight are pulling, they'd be calling for their heads.

Anyway the Memphis OKC series is amazing to watch, the Clippers' faces will be hilarious when they find Memphis again in the second round if they beat OKC.

 

Thing i found funny at towards the end of the game was when Durant tried drawing a foul but refs didn't buy it.

my post is tame to that activity, i'm sure. anyway, i was banned from the GARM a year or so ago and never asked to be let back in. apparently goating about the grizzlies in the garm when they are handing the rockets their ass is frowned upon in this establishment.

Yeah, I think I did better in my NCAA bracket. I did all of these Matchup polls on here and the only one I've been right so far is the Heat kicking ass. This round is far from over though(although rockets,thunder,pacers,bulls dont look good).

 

I'm guessing part of it is fatigue. It's one thing to play 48 minutes against a finesse team, it's another thing to play a team that's hounding you on defense and banging in the post for 48 minutes.

The longer the game goes, the harder it is for athletic, fast or jump shooting teams to maintain their edge.

Think of OKC as knock out artists, and Memphis as body punchers. OKC can run you out of the gym. Memphis just keeps pounding you in the gut until your legs finally give out and you collapse in a puddle of your own saliva.
