Is this thread for real? The talent on this team is superb, that is Moreys job to put together a talented roster than can potentially mesh together. Imagine if Pop had this team, can you really look at the Spurs and say they have more talent than us?

    Is this post for real?

The Rockets do not have quality players filling out the roster. The Spurs are loaded with above average NBA players.

Morey HAS to be on the hot seat if McHale is not fired as soon as this season ends irrespective of how far we go.

    It's plain and simple.

YOu can acquire all the talent in the world but it is meaningless come post season if you have a pathetic coach, one of the worst in the NBA leading them.

Regular season is fine - you can get away with talent.

But come post season, you need a real coach

Morey is fine, all he needs to do is stay away from coachinf the team.

It's also Morey's job to put together a roster and coaching staff that wins in the postseason. And in that respect, he should be on the hot seat. He needs to hire a competent head coach who'll demand the team play defense. He has to get quality bench players so Harden and Parsons don't have to log heavy minutes and so the team has other options to go to when one or both of those guys is struggling from the field(or on defense). And he has to do this NOW! No more of this stockpiling assets or setting aside capspace for 2015. If they throw away another season next year because Morey's biding his time til Kevin Love hits free agency, then he needs to join McHale in the unemployment line.

You guys do know if harden was just average harden then we are two blowout games up on Portland, right? No fault to either McHale or Morey imo, players gotta play.

    That is falwed analysis.

Harden just can't be Harden when Stotts and his coaching staff have done a great job of negating him with a perfect defensive gameplan.

It is up to McHale and his coaching staff to get some open looks for Harden and get him going.

But McHale has zero plays. This ISO, run n gun and 3 ball style does not work very well es during playoffs.

Clutchfans will cheer the day that Dwight is gone. Morey made a huge mistake by signing Dwight. People may not see it now, but they will.

    This is BS.

Lets see we got Harden last year and Howard this year. Lets get rid of Morey.

I thought putting a low post big man on a free flowing, fast paced, running team was interesting. But, last night all Dwights big performance did was get the offense out of sink.

That's a coaching problem, not a player problem.

Daryl ultimately serves Les and HIS agenda...and that hasn't always been about winning. Quite often it's been about the quest for moooooore of the almighty dollar. Morey has walked along the edge of a straight razor and survived....succeeded. His acumen has allowed Les to get away with bloody murder.

Les drafted Yao with the conditions that he wouldn't be dealt and would play ball year round. We all know what this lead to...See history of big men and foot injuries in the NBA.
DM went about putting together a Championship ballclub and we would have won at least one title if Yao hadn't broken down against the Lakers. Morey positioned us to get there.
Instead of trading Yao early when it became apparent he wasn't going to stay healthy, the fans of this town were held hostage for years while Leslie was making half a billion + in business interests in the Far East. DM did his best, but his hands were tied.

When Yao retired and it seemed that DM and yours truly (the fans) were free, Good Ole Les wanted MOOAR...So, enter Jeremy Lin, a human cash register of goodwill over there...allowing Les to press the flesh and cultivate growing interests further. This, during a time when we had the chance to truly rebuild from the ground up.(Lurch was brought in to instill a culture/teach) Morey was prevented from executing his plans and instead was charged with reloading on the run (but not allowed to keep Gogi).....and has done an amazing job. Positioning us for Howard and getting him...executing a deal for The Beard.. There is a price that comes with this though. The transition of coaches/ getting rid of Lin chief among them ...

While Morey has performed magic, it takes time...and after a long stay in the Hanoi Hilton our collective patience is worn out.

But don't be fooled and throw out the baby with the bathwater, for without DM the GM, we would be left to Les's schemes ....impossible miracles beyond our reach.

Again, we are a work in progress...Next year, after offseason additions of an all star and other needs...we will be the toast of the NBA...a true contender..

So, while it bites the big one now, look to next year and our true window. It will be shorter than it could have been..and will be patched together, but it will be one just the same.

    It's where we are.

Just look at what Drayton did to our beloved Astros and what happened after he finally let Gerry out of his chains, leaving us a husk. (Gerry went to TB and won...so would Morey)
If not for Daryl, the same fate could await our Rockets...Maybe not that drastic, but you get the picture brother.

    Houston forever and always,

    CC/Plowman

I don't know if it's just me, but I will NEVER forgive Morey for letting Gogi walk for a ****ing marketing scheme.

Lets not forget he also traded Nicolas Batum because he wanted that ****tard "Baby Dwight" Joey Dorsey.

Lets not forget the 1st rounder for T-will.

Lets not forget trading away Patrick Patterson. I DON'T GIVE A **** IF IT HELPED LAND US DWIGHT

Lets not forget the Asik and Lin contracts (i like the player, just not the contracts)

OH AND THE BIGGEST **** UP OF ALL? LETTING RICK ADELMAN GO.

3 years tops. That's long enough to get to the finals.
If we can't reach the finals within those 3 years than its bye bye Morey.

Last time I checked, Morey doesn't play the game or coach it.
