I agree with a lot of what you said....we really have soft PF and small forward players and is a massive mismatch to the Blaers right now...but tell me...why did McHale play Harden basically the whole game? What benefit does that bring?

Wouldn't it be smarter to give him breaks, ensuring he has fresh legs, allow him to mentally gather himself, reasses and also to give the Blazers something else to look at? Why the hell would you play him the whole effing game with hardly any rest with the way he was playing and still expect him to play his best defense his played all season??

That right there is why we lost. Because Harden played bad, and when Harden is in the court he has the most impact, and the coaching staff gave him no chance to get out of his slump during the game. So the way I see it, i'm more upset at the coaching

I don't give a flying flip how many championships Mchale won as a player he is the worst coach in the nba and it isn't close. F him. He is bone headed and clueless... bad combination.

Also just to add, what the hell was the point in getting Lin being accustomed to be the SG so he can be Harden's backup during the season when your just going to play Harden the whole game regardless if he is ice cold?

As players, you need to sit down not only to rest but to also reasses the flow of the game from the bench especially when your struggling. I can't totally put the blame on Harden. The coaching staff also has to make the right rotations during the game.

Sometimes the best way to prove your point is to just shut up and let it happen.

    New day.

Has this incompetent clueless coach been fired yet? I sure hope so...

    rockets should be: harden/howard, parsons/howard/ harden/parsons, lin/howard/parsons.

Hardly see any of this happening. Our offense is predictable that is why it's easy for the other coach to make adjustments. I bet he is really happy with McHale's coaching

They needed to double LA before he gets the ball or immediately right after with Lin or Jones(someone fast). Everyone else must switch quickly for the pass out. Of course Harden would have to sit since he is a ball hawker.

Make McHale the assistant coach until his contract expires.

His contract reportedly expires after this season. So he ain't being demoted to anything. He's either being resigned or fired.

McHale is the reason, the superstar James Harden turns out to be a ball hogger and plays no defense. McHale screws up players development!

Harden was dazzling in his first season here in Houston. Then McHale seemed to give him the whole team instead of coaching him. His misbehaviour on the court is abominable. His laissez-faire defense is unprecedented. Nobody seemed to care until now. It's too late. McHale spoiled James Harden and McHale should be held accountable for this. Fire McHale!

Mchale must go after this season.

It's incredible how time after time LMA just kept scoring on Asik and TJones and there was no double team or different way limit his touches. It was a perfect example of what insanity is: doing the same thing expecting different results.

i wrote that before a certain asian was even on the final roster.:p
Numbers were pretty clear back then on the way mchale handled critical situations and never adjusting.

for example, one of my faves, him questioning why we kept getting out rebounded when he would bench our best rebounder and play scola at center.

The mishandling of Lowry and lowry just becoming a stand at the corner player when playing next to gogi.

but most importantly now, the fact that Harden has no regards for him as a coach. Otherwise, he'd run the plays given to him and not opt out of them to Isolate. Because say what we say about coach, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he is not the one calling for stickiness.

I don't have Comcast so I haven't been able to see his horrible decisions save for a few Nationally televised games. Glad to be a new member of this gang.

Wouldn't it suck if we lose this series AND McHale keeps his job.

Sequel to the Texans and Kubiak.

Fair enough. I have watched every Rockets game and it is apparent that he is a clueless coach and has been for a long time.

I still remember two years abck when he closed out with PPat and Scola against Denver going small when we had Camby and Dally who were beasting and Denver absolutely had a free ride into th paint, won all the boards and ahnded it to us.

Just baffling how some people still defend him.

McHale is not coming back next year.

He's one of the worst coaches in the play offs. Maybe Toronto head coach is close based on the limited amount I've seen the raptors play.

But McHale is a reaaallllly bad head coach.
