The T mac era where the team always lost in the first round. At least this year year we have a bad coach in Kevin Mchale. But in the T mac era the team had a great coach but the team blew it so many times. So yea the T mac era was the most disappointment to me.
When will Harden fans get it through their head? Harden isn't choosing to play like a p***y, he is just a manufactured star with inflated regular season stats. He has gotten people to believe that he is a legit superstar when its clear he isn't, now that he's being exposed for what he is in the playoffs, I hope everyone will realize what a mistake they've made putting their faith in a player who is a ball stopper, hero ball glory seeking no D playing black hole.
I did not think we were title contenders this year. But, I certainly thought we would get out of the first round and get out of it in 6, maybe even 5. Right now I am as disgusted as I have ever been in a team. All that work in the pre-season and an 82 game season simply thrown in the garbage. It takes a special team to come back from 0-2 at home. This is not a special team. This just might be a sweep in the making. I am just stunned at the turn of events. It is clear this team is clueless at playing at a higher level and at this clue I have no idea how to even begin to fix it.
It really isn't surprising, the Rockets are so predictable with Mchale's non existent offense, throw in Harden's iso heroball and this team was destined to fail, you could see it throughout the season if you watch the games, just the worst coaching ever along with the worst ballhog that hardly plays any D.
Unfortunately I only caught a couple games this season due to work and a young child now on the scene. The few games I saw they looked a lot better and more fluid then this. But, yea, at this point they look like a ship going in a circle because the captain is taking up residence in the cr*pper. MCHALE, wipe and get your a** back up to the wheelhouse.
wow are people really trying to blame the loss on Lin's foul at the end? they were down three. even if portland misses a long jumper, LMA probably would have gotten the rebound and put it back in. LOHs are funny. Not Harden's fault. Not McHale's fault. But it's the 7th/8th man's fault for a meaningless play when the odds of the rockets getting the ball back and making a three to tie it were slim to none.
We couldn't even get opened for a three after that foul. Harden couldn't get open or pretended cause he didn't want the shot and lost all confidence.
This is by far the most disappointed I've been in a squad. The 05 series vs. Dallas, game 7 sucked, but I though Dallas was the better team. Yao getting hurt wasn't anybodies fault, and the Jazz losses were just losses, the other team played better. They all hurt more, but this is a different kind of disappointment We are a superior to Portland, we should win this series easily, but our coach and "superstar" are performing like absolute garbage.
I totally agree. It looks like individuals trying to score more than throwing the ball to whoever has the best look. TJ is good at that.
'94 Rockets came home down 0-2, now we're on the road. The country is rooting against us. Man, this sucks. Down but not out.
This sucks but this is nowhere near the disappointment that I felt in the mid 00's and 90's in some of those playoff losses. This team was always still a year away. Next year was then they were supposed to make some real noise. That hot streak in the middle of the season got a lot of people's hopes up but we were still always a best case scenario out in the second round team. Portland is a damn good team and has played us tough both games. I give credit to them and hope that this playoff series has opened Morey's eyes to what he needs to do this offseason. If we get swept then dissapointment will be high, it's still 0-2 and both games have been tough hard fought games.
I'm severely disappointed in Lesley Alexander for hiring Kevin Mchale. This was to most stupid decision I've seen. It is starting to come close to being more stupid then the Blazers drafting Sam Bowie instead of Michael Jordan.
Roster/Syle/Coaching, I think there's enough blame to go around. Remember, that McHale isn't 100% responsible for the Rockets' style of play. Some of this is on Morey. Some of it is on Harden. I still think it was smarter to keep Lin/Asik than take back long term contracts, but it's clear the Rockets' roster needs a major overhaul and that Harden (and this absolutely should be number one theme next year) must earn his shots. The franchise 2.0 experiment must end now.
