That ain't happening. For Shumpert as well we'd have to include Parsons.

Yeah, all we need to do is to get a championship caliber coach, then Melo will choose us.

Gotta get rid of PARSONS in any deal for Melo and I would do it in a heartbeat. If you can get a franchise caliber player for Parsons, now is the time to do it.

Do y'all really think Melo would for with this team as another ball-dominant, defensively- questionable player? If anything, this Portland series has exposed our lack of depth and defensive presence. Do we want to blow cap space on another player who needs the ball in his hands in order to be effective?

I thought about Melo on this team a lot during this loss. Would love to have him here. Couldn't care less who we lose for Melo (except Harden/Howard obviously).

Because it would push Harden down to the third option, like he was in OKC. ;)

i think the best fit for carmelo would be the grizzlies or the wizards. can you imagine if carmelo goes to eather one of those teams? he would take that team to the nba finals

    Memphis starting lineup w/ melo
    1 conley
    2 t. allen
    3 carmelo
    4 randolph
    5 gasol

    wizards starting lineup w/ carmelo
    1 wall
    2 beal
    3 carmelo
    4 nene
    5 gortat

at first I thought this would be fun to watch but now after the first two games of a no defense play off I don't want this. we need a defensive specialist 3 or 4

I think with Harden struggling, tonight was a good example of how Melo could have come in handy.

I mentioned this before and got nasty comments by the cowardly vet posters on here.

I bet you a lot more people are thinking a Harden for Melo trade wouldn't be such a bad idea now. At least giving up Parsons for Melo should be a no brainer.

But we're talking about an organization that gave Lin $25 million HAHAHA!

i think we have to go all in for melo. after seeing harden these past 2 seasons disappear in the playoffs, its starting to become apparent that he's not the go-to-guy we thought he would be.

We need Melo on this team. Watching Lamarcus go to work and not GAF about anybody else, is something Melo can bring here. Against bigger teams he can man SF and against smaller ones he can kill it as a PF.

Dude is not the answer at the 4. He's already a poor defender and has nothing to offer against seven foot 4s like LMA or Dirk. Melo is a good 4 on the offensive side and that's it.

I'm guessing Carmelo would want to go to a team with an established system and team culture that's in prime position to become a contender if he is added.

This team is already on a shaky foundation if they get eliminated. So what does he have to look forward to?

I'm assuming McHale is fired, as a result Dwight is mad, Harden is at the strip club, Lin/Asik disgruntled, mediocre shooters off the bench. New coaching staff led by the prodigy JB Bickerstaff.

    Sounds like paradise.

Even if Rose is only 70% of what he was, that team is still constructed to support a player like Melo and cover his back on all defenses so he can score all he wants. He either stays in NY or goes to Chicago.
