Rox job will be best job available. No way McHale should be back. If Rox bring back McHale, they don't deserve one fan in the stand next year.
If McFail was the coach of a lower league Brazilian soccer team he would probably be publicly executed for being such a dumbass.
I hope Morey reads this thread. Not because I started it but because it's the truth McHale is a garbage coach Definitely not championship caliber or close to it
I feel like a total moron for voting (with a caveat in my post that good meant average) that McHale was a "good" coach in this poll. I didn't even pick the "he should stay" option, how bad must those guys feel now? Watching this series is like torture.
I have refused to post in this thread until now. But after tonight... It's time. Harden was GARBAGE tonight. I don't care if he's one of your superstars, when he's playing like this BENCH HIM, even in the playoffs. Harden cost us this game (and last), and McHale cost us the game for trusting him even after he's demonstrably playing for sh$t. ANY of our bench scrubs would have been a better substitute, because at least they would have tried. I don't know WTF is wrong with James, but I have never seen a so-called "superstar" play with this little emotion in a playoff game. It's bewildering. But whatever the reason, McHale should have recognized it and dealt with it. Does anyone think that Pop would have allowed this? I've kept my tongue on McHale, though I've never been a fan. But this is it. Rockets are going to lose a winnable series and he has to go for it, it's that simple.
What was Morey thinking when he hired this guy. Now season and talent going down the drain. Thanks stat geek.
That was disappointing for Houston. Im usually not a knee jerk kind of poster since i know little about what its like to be a coach, but McHale seemed to me that he was not engaged in coaching his team, whether it was at least standing up for his players on bad calls or coaching from the sidelines. Terry Stotts on the other hand was engaged and coaching as if he was on the court. Complete and utterly out coached these two games. Its mostly on the team but coach can make a difference sometimes. His team was clearly frustrated with officiating and needed someone to back them up rather than sit idle. Hope McHale can change it up in time for the next game. I really do hope for success for McHale and still support him, but was disappointed this game.
