Good. I can't stand waiting longer for my game. Noon on Sunday is the best.

Actually, with it moving to CBS, TNF will now be 1a. But yes- MNF is very rarely the week's marquee match-up - so it's not a stretch to imagine the Texans being on it, especially if the Cowboys are involved.

But there's no way they land on NBC or the new TNF.

Seems like the Cowboys are always playing the opening Sunday Night Football game. If the Texans draft media darling Manziel and play the Cowboys on the first Sunday night game of the year...TV ratings records would be set.

    Hmm.

Would CBS fight hard for that game or they don't care?

Interesting that Bears at Lions is on Thanksgiving. This year was supposed to be a CBS game with an AFC visiting Detroit on Turkey Day. If an NFC team is going to Detroit, I wonder if that means an AFC will visit Dallas. If so, that puts the Texans into the conversion to play on Thanksgiving.

All these new broadcast rules are a bit complicated. Before it was easy to know what network a game was on; visiting AFC team means CBS and visiting NFC team means Fox. Now, CBS can broadcast a visiting NFC team and Fox can broadcast a visiting AFC team.

Glad the trip to New York isn't in the winter. Now only Pittsburgh and Cleveland are potential cold weather games.

    Did they change the rules?

As far as I know, CBS still gets the AFC road games, except for the thursday night games (which are independent of the current NFC/AFC distribution rules).

Thanksgiving will reportedly feature Bears/Lions, Eagles/Cowboys and Seahawks/Niners.

As for this Cowboys/Texans MNF season-opener, no.

    Giants/Lions
    Cardinals/Chargers

For the most part CBS will still be the AFC network with Fox being the NFC network. However, starting this year we may see CBS air a game with an NFC team as the visitor and Fox airing a game with an AFC team as the visitor. It's called cross-flexing and it's supposed to allow a greater distribution for lower tier games.

No Texans on Thanksgiving. It'll be Eagles at Cowgirls on that day. In fact, six NFC teams will play on Thanksgiving. No AFC teams.
