So basically you don't know what's wrong if there's anything wrong at all, all you know is that if there is a problem it is Obama's fault, whether or not there is a problem or if it's his fault, and if he hasn't fixed it, it's his fault, whether or not it's fixable. . But you're not listening to him anyway, so it really doesn't matter.
What results? I just came back from Brazil. I didn't notice any fallout. So, generally I pronounce these results to be satisfactory.
Ok, so now we can throw out the original premise that the article states foreign relations with the BRICS are bad. I thought you were all concerned with the original premise(which you distorted in that post as well). Which is it, are we staying on topic or we are completely off topic?
I am asking you if this premise is true, and why it even matters at all - what would a universe with "good relatoins" with Brazil look like and how would it make any difference? LIke I said, I just came from brazil, i didn't detect any change in relations towards me from the last time I was there about 3 years ago. You don't seem to have an opinion on it - at all, which confuses me as to why you are even bothering.
Because I was sick and tired of reading the liberal pile on crew complain that texx didn't even understand the article and that the article clearly blames a bunch of stuff on Bush. It does, but that is definitely not the premise of the article. Is there a problem with foreign relations with the BRICS? Is Obama taking responsibility? Should he? Most people with differing opinions(not Obama lovers) have stopped posting here because of the childishness of many posters. Texx stays because he really enjoys poking at you and watching.
Try reading comprehension. There wasn't "a bunch of stuff" blamed on Bush, it was one thing: the war in Iraq. There was also blame meted out to other people and situations for the things they did which caused some of the current issues. The premise of the article was that relations with BRICS have gotten worse over the last 20 years or so, bigpuffery is the one who chose to try and heap the (undeserved) blame on Obama and Obama alone, going so far as to editorialize in the thread title and the original post using the word "failure" when the author never used any such language. He should be focused on fixing it, not blaming people. Keep in mind that I haven't heard Obama blame anyone for any of this, blame was meted out by the author of this piece and he spread it around to many people other than Obama. Most people who aren't "Obama lovers," by which I believe you mean hardcore conservatives, don't post here because their attempts at argument are destroyed when actual logic and reason are brought in, because they present material they claim is factual when it is anything but (and then get their panties in a twist when the ACTUAL facts are brought into the conversation), and because they want to insulate themselves from "differing opinions" since theirs just aren't based in reality.
Agreed. I'm not posting in defense of texx. I'm changing the direction of the discussion more towards what the article says. Agreed. I understand, the only opinion that matters is yours and those who think like you.
No, you have been talking about "blame Bush" when that isn't even remotely the premise of the article. Of course, neither is blaming Obama, which y'all would get if you actually read and understood it. ROFL @ the victim. Everyone's opinion matters the same, which is to say very little. The problem with people like you and bigpuffery is that y'all seem to think that your opinions trump facts and evidence, which is a load of hooey. You're entitled to your own opinion, it is all the made up "facts" with which I take issue.
Since your reading comprehension is so fantastic, why don't you read all of your posts and ask yourself who has been bringing up "blame bush". You are correct, your opinion matters very little, especially to me.
6 pages in and the republicans can offer no solution to BRIC or anything or insight. NOTHING. Can't tell you what obama is doing wrong with BRIC just that they read somewhere they think he is. The response to every single one of these clown troll threads should be: What do you mister republican think we should do? *crickets* All republicans seem to be the same in that they have nothing except talking points from hannity. It's really quite remarkable. What would republicans do to handle BRIC? *crickets* more of the same - offering nothing but bashing and STILL butthurt that Obama is president. My 2 year old son acts like more of a man than these babies. Coddled with no opinion like a scene at 2 year old daycare. WOW SamFisher spreading some ownage. Good work in articulating the situation.
It will be ratcheted to another level if/when Hillary wins. Unless, of course, Obama is successful in rescinding the the 22nd amendment... PS mdrowe00 & sam have owned bigtexxx in this thread
I know the answer: 'Be a good leader.' Mitt Romney would have personally removed Edward Snowden from his position before he could have done the damage he did.
I'm not here to offer advice to our president on how to handle foreign relations. I just want him to do his job well, which happens to include foreign relations. Judging by his approval ratings, I don't think he is handling domestic relations that well either.
bigpuffery was the first, then you chimed in... I don't give a flying f*** if you take my opinions seriously, it is when you ignore facts in favor of your (or worse, a pundit's) opinion that I think less of you.
There is only one fact established here that is pertinent to the original article. 1. Foreign relations are bad regarding the BRICS. I believe the presidents job description includes foreign relations. You have two choices: 1. Attack me. 2. Deflect blame from Obama.
