If you watched basketball -- or even this particular game -- you'd know that Beverley was on the bench when more than half of those 31 points were scored. Those are just the ones I counted w/ a quick glance through the play by play. You'd also understand that looking at the points scored by a player's primary assignment is not a measure of how well they defended, as (1) defensive responsibilities are almost always shared, as they were in this case, and (2) even when a player and his assignment are both in the game at the same time, it is not unusual for someone else to end up guarding the assignment on a switch.

Those are things you'd know if you watched basketball. :)

That replay doesn't capture everything on the game. The lost was on Bev foul issues, Bev and TJone failed their defense assignments.

CF and Rocket organization need to admit that Bev and TT experiments were failure. Bev is just a junk yard dog with a broken leg (soon), CF need to keep on cheering on him like a gladiator with honor.. rofl..

This kind of insight is what keeps me coming back to CFans. Keep up the good work!

I think he's worth slightly more than the MLE. Something like 3 years / 18 million.

What? The play by play captures who was on the court when each field goal was made. Lol. Not surprised that you aren't interested in facts, though.

You are wasting your time with that troll.

It is clear he either did not watch the game, or he watched it but does not understand it, or he simply has an axe to grind.

Bullard got a vote, not Worrell.

Beverley's two third-place votes came from Leo Rautins-SportsNet/TSN and Marv Albert-TNT

So Harden's sucking, Dwight's subpar playing, and McHale's coaching had nothing to do with it.

    Intriguing

When considering the salaries and play of our PGs, Lin is 10x the failure over Beverley.

Lee Jenkins from Chicago gave him one of the votes:

    Lee Jenkins: Joakim Noah, Bulls
Ballot: Noah, Roy Hibbert, Patrick Beverley
This was Hibbert’s to lose in February, when he was protecting the rim for Indiana’s historically stingy defense. But the Pacers slipped in every area, while the Bulls surged, keyed by Noah’s back-line presence. Noah may not get along with Kevin Garnett, but he has become Garnett 2.0, barking commands and smothering pick-and-rolls. Clippers center DeAndre Jordan is another strong candidate, but Beverley deserves recognition for giving the Rockets a defensive identity and irritating the league’s many superstar point guards.

Sure, everyone in CF watch the game and see that Lillard was having a fun time and Bev have nothing to do with it. It's Harden fault then...

I really hate to make generalizations but it's pretty clear that you're either trolling, very young, or relatively new to basketball. If it's either of the latter two, I'd suggest you read a little more and post a little less.

Not really anyone's fault, except maybe Scott Foster.

Lillard was very effective against Beverley. Turns out good scorers, sometimes score well, no matter who is guarding them. That however does not mean we should stop playing our best defenders. We had a good example of how Beverley's defense impacted the game, when his denial of the ball to Lillard directly led to LMA being disqualified from the game by setting an illegal screen, which was HUGE.

The only other real option would have been Lin, who is just a train wreck defensively.
