I hope "likely be available" means they might rest him.

ETA: I could never have a kid who plays a professional sport. Or maybe a contact sport, period. How his mom didn't run onto the court is beyond me... I'd probably be that mom who was prohibited from sitting anywhere near the court/field/rink/whatever.

It would be an entire separate issue if the injury was directly involved with his prior one, but apparently that wasn't the case. It was only a sprained knee.

If there's no additional damage done to his meniscus, then it's really up to Bev and the rest of the medical staff to see if he's capable of playing, not necessarily in fear of his meniscus issue, but whether the sprained knee will hold him back during the game.

That's just my opinion and guess.

I'd say let the Phoenix Suns medical staff have a second opinion. I really don't trust the Rockets on this kind of things.

You are trying to talk to one of the worst posters on the site. He doesn't care about anything non Lin related

A knee sprain is a degree of tear in a ligament. It can be quite minor to major. It's no surprise, however, that he overstressed or stretched another part of his knee with a cartilage injury. The body compensates for injured areas.

Like I said before, I want Beverley to play. I want both teams at 100%. That being said, he shouldn't risk further injury. Lin is an excellent player in his own right. You have have problems with the #3 PG becoming the #2, but a little creative lineup restructuring should be able to mitigate it.

We fired our longtime trainer this offseason and results have been 180 degrees. We went from the Frail Blazers to having four guys start 82 games. Bottom line, we stole a page from the Suns playbook.

It's hard for me to believe that a guy as smart as Morey can't see their system is the wave of the future.

McHale, please suck up the fact that you're trying to win and limit Beverley's minutes..... I don't myself, but the Rockets have got to start trusting Lin to make it deep in the Playoffs this yr. And Mr. James Harden, please put some more effort out there running off-the-ball on offense and on defense.

what's wrong with what he said? It's true that we're not doing Bev any favor he's banged up. Maybe rest him just a few more games will do him some good. And what does it have to do with Lin?

i also don't trust a trainer who's gained so much weight in recent years. used to be in good shape and now looks like a blimp. it's like a lung cancer oncologist who smokes cigarettes outside his clinic.

i didnt get to watch the game, but is pbev's injury the reason lilard exploded for 31pts and 5 assists?

hope he really is 100% and this isn't a nagging injujry.

Same. That was the 2nd worst Rockets game I've ever witnessed (1st being 07 choke at home to Utah game 7). We had no business losing this game.

At least it's not boxing, football, or soccer, where the repetitive head pounding can cause brain damage or long-term mental health issues.
