Sources: KBME changing lineup (Jay Mohr to evening)

I don't live in Houston... but I like Jay Mohr. It's different, and it's entertainment, and I like it.

Having been out of Houston for 3 years now, I have found that I much prefer national shows over local ones. Austin has some local shows, and granted they aren't the best local shows as is and the local sports market isn't as broad as it would be in Houston... but still, I'd rather listen to ESPN Radio than the local guys.

When I lived in Houston, it was the opposite. I always felt the national guys were beating on the same non-interesting topics to me (Yankees, Red Sox, Lakers, Pats, Celtics, Cowboys)... and certainly to an extent that remains true... but I think the national guys have gotten a lot better in that regards. I mean Dan Lebatard is great. He's a unique character, talks about a whole host of sports and sports topics, has SVG on weekly, etc.

 

Literally the only time I listen to sports radio is when I'm in the parking garage and Sirius goes out. When I've left the garage for lunch, I was shocked to find out I was enjoying what I was hearing from Mohr that I would forget to turn on Sirius once I exited teh garage.

 

Just heard Matt Thomas announce that hes moving to 11 - 2.
