lmao ya'll need to relax...rockets got this

it took a carreer game from aldridge and one of hardens worst shooting nights and terrible officiating and foul trouble for dwight and asik for the blazers to win by 2!!! not to mention freeland HUGGING dwight and being a foul on dwight!!!lol

we got this but Mchale needs to coach better

 

The game was rigged in our favor and we still couldnt win.

 

Aldridge career game, Hardens worst as an NBA player.

Rockets will be just fine.

 

This is the playoffs not regular season. Dwight and harden need to step it up 100% and Canaan needs to get ready

 

lol no did you even watch the game? Bev didnt even touch Lillard on his 3pt play and freeland HUGGED dwight and they called the foul on DWIGHT

I agree and im sure they will. Aldrigde may be unguardable but so is Dwight. He had a bad 1st half but was dominating Lopez/Aldridge in the 2nd half.

We'll be fine series probably goes 6

 

I'm optimistic, but without Bev this is going to be a very tough series. We need to blw them out on Wednesday and make a statement.

 

Do you think Harden was tired? he kept giving the ball to chandler and letting others handle it in the 4th and OT i (forgot which one it was). I was really surprsied! As a result, chandler took some terrible 3s and made some really bad decisions...he's not used to having the ball with so little time to do something (he's usualyl at he wing with this happens - but last night I believe he was a little bi tinside the wingin the corner)

 

Need bev's energy but even with out bev, you can bet that the rockets will want to play supe rhard to make up for this loss. such frustration.

 

If the Rockets win the next game, then the series is tied and we regain the home court advantage. So, everything is not as dire as a lot of posters seem to think.

However, I will say that all year long I have been concerned that Dwight's poor free throw shooting would cost us games in the playoffs. I think hack-a-Dwight played a huge role in last nights loss.

 

The next game is at home, so no, we don't regain HCA. You have to STEAL a game at Portland to regain HCA.

The Rockets need to win the next 2 games to get back to HCA.

 

I get that. My thoughts weren't just for our benefit.

But can you imagine trying to work 8 hours a day under those exact conditions? Not me. I'd end up changing careers.

 

After last night's lost, I've come to conclusion that I am way too attached to the Rockets. Im so bummed man Couldn't get it out my head when I was trying to sleep.

 

No, the only way to get back HCA is to win the next 2 games.

 

This has nothing to do with the refs. In the end the calls evened out and we had a 11 point lead with 4 minutes to go. NO WAY we should be losing that kind of lead at home.

We lost this game because of inept coaching.

1. Parsons was hot to start off with. i don't care if he has played 15 mins in a row. These are the playoffs and he had one week's rest. You ride the hot hand!!

2. When it comes to Hack a Howard, you either take him out if he is not hitting his free throws after a few trips to the line or you ride with him throughout. This taking him out half way BS just kills all momentum and doesn't allow enough time to get back into rhythm. Doc put it best when asked about DJ and hack a DJ. If he is hitting 2 out of 2 great. If he is hitting 1 out of 2 OK. But if he is hitting 0/2, he better get stops at the other end or he is coming off.

3. Timeouts and play calling!! Seriously why does McHale have a board. I don't care what McHale aplogists like jtr say about Rockets having no set plays but calling the right plays at crucial times is important.

Typical McHale timeout when a basket is needed.

"Clap, clap, guys we got to play harder. Effort, effort, everyone one of you has to play hard."

Takes out white board.

"Chandler you're the trigger. Jeremy go spot up in this corner. Cisco go spot up in the other corner. Dwight set a screen. Harden get the ball from Chandler and do your thing. Everyone else clear out"

YAWN

So many chances to get a good play but lack of coaching skills and drawing up good plays bites us back really hard.

 

watching the game again this morning and my thoughts have changed. shouldn't blame the refs. this one is on mchale.

1. harden iso i am normally ok with to end games, but the 1-2 screen and roll was working in the 4th and in OT. should've stuck with that.

2. bev should not have shot those free throws. he was hurt. no way he takes himself out. that's when coach has to take him out. also, lillard literally walked by bev on his last two drives to the basket. bev brought a lot of energy and had a decent game, but shouldn't have been out there.

3. too much garcia. he played ok d and had some nice takes to the rim, but his 3 looked terrible again and without that, what's the point of having him out there. i would've preferred to see more Dwight-Chandler-Harden-Lin-Bev. we got good doses of it, but would have like more.

 

If I were Dwight I would be practicing nothing but free throws.

 

4. terrible plays out of timeouts. haralobab (?) tweeted correctly, what's the point of calling a timeout if you aren't going to draw up plays anyway, all it does is give portland time to set up their defense. should let lin just push it down the floor and take it himself or setup harden with a good shot, not the awkward, shots he took at the end of OT. seriously harden, what was that 3? is he a knick now?

 

Wed. nite, I smell a a blow out. Rox end the game by half time. We go off on the blazers!
