Maybe, but a lot of those points were about fighting for balls around the rim and the Rockets didn't win that battle. Perhaps Asik would make a difference.

 

Nice box out by the official on Garcia....I thought the only way they could be more biased was if they actually participated for Portland.

It is true. I cant complain about lins defense either since harden gets beat way more.

 

I was surprised by the defensive lapses late in the game. Also our offense really looked impotent at times. McHale will take some heat from this loss. The players played with passion and energy. The defensive effort was there, but the defensive coordination was not.

Bev looked hurt. I doubt he plays Wednesday. Makes you wonder if it was wise to bring him back now. FO should consider shelving him for this year. Honestly, hes not going to do us much good if he's hurt. Don't mess with knee injuries. See RG3.

I don't think we are in trouble...I said before I wouldn't be surprised if Portland takes game 1. But we should bounce back and take game 2. Well, we have to

 

He actually defended Williams quite well, and he score about half our points in OT, or does that not matter?

And lin is guarding an elite nba pg while harden is covering wesley mathews. He didnt so a bad job against him after the first q, but that is mostly because mathews choked on some wide open threes.

 

Very deceptive. Parsons is not open. Defender is playing the pass for the steal. Would have been a mistake to pass out with so few seconds. Parsons would not get a clean shot off and big risk for steal.

And what on earth is Jones doing there?

Oh look, I said some negative things about quite a few players and some coaching decisions, but the only thing that is focused on is criticism about Lin.

I am so tired of you idiots.

 

No...not any maybe to it. That's a fact. Now, as you state, Portland got some of those/ And Asik was not the difference IMO. DEFENSE..or severe lack of was the culprit. O FT to 17 in the first half...the refs were determined to keep Portland in the game.

 

You were surprised? Have you seen this team on defense lately? They've been horrendous. Remember Corey Brewer scoring the easiest 51 points in NBA history? And I don't wanna hear any crap about Kelvin Sampson. He didn't leave at the beginning of the season. He left late in the year when a defensive system should've already been in place that they could stick with. That has to be priority #1 this offseason regardless of the outcome of this series. The Rockets have to become a better defensive team next year.

 

Both Howard and Harden, I don't see that intense desire to win. They just seem like they're going through the motions most of the time. If we lose this series, I bet Harden just shrugs his shoulders and goes clubbing.

 

I agree. I think Stotts had a more creative game plan than did McHale. Whether the Rockets can win this series is going to be about how well McHale adjusts.

If they can beat us 3 more times before we them 4 times, hey no complaints. We will see.

 

Sigh... Hate to say it but Harden is starting to build a bad reputation as a playoff performer. The finals two years ago, the first round last year, and now his terrible Game 1 performance. He's GOT to pick it up.

 

You mean like attack the rim? He could've done that tonight and he didn't.
