Houston Rockets , Astros, Texans, , U OF H/Texas A&M/Rice college basketball/football we will never win. Because Media((( A.KA. ESPN)), all commissioner/owner, Las vegas, hate Houston there is no money to be made here in a small market. That why we all ways fail..

You have to give Terry Stotts credit. He made a commitment to go after Harden and Jones on defense and Harden looked very worn down and seemed to lose confidence in the OT. Going into this series I thought Portland's big 2 were better than Houston's big 2 because they could score more points combined and get as many rebounds. Today, Lillard and Aldridge had 77 points and 27 rebounds. Harden and Howard had 54 points and 20 rebounds. I thought Houston's supporting cast was better than Portland's and that turned out to be the case as Parsons, Lin and Beverley outplayed Batum, Matthews and Williams.

Portland shot the ball poorly and won the game. The Rockets could find themselves down 3-1 if one or two of those Portland role players has a hot shooting night.

Don't get me wrong - I agree with the team defense totally! But if one player doesn't move, it won't work.

This. I'm so ddeflated, and its the best term that is being used over and over. Portland fans are probably looking at our site and laughing and all... but the series isn't over so I guess thats something.

That being said, yeh. deflated. dammit.

We are not a small market. We just love to gamble. It is an addiction and there is not much else to do in houston when vegas is one click away.

It's mchale coaching. Watching the game and your conclusion is that Lin cost us the game? You must be out of your mind!

positive cuz both james and dwight had a bad first half. dwight stepped up but james was bad all game. if one of them showed up the first half, rockets win this game. i dont expect them to pull this **** again. the refs tho, they can go fk themselves

Lin did fine. Had a few mistakes but so did everyone else and he only had 2 TOs. Harden had even more ugly plays and he wasn't even scoring efficiently (which he usually does) to make up for them. Lin scored efficiently overall. Mo Williams, whom Lin defended most of the time, didn't get loose.

His mistakes might have swung the game, but the same goes with every single event in the game in such a closely contested game.

The trend seems to be that Lin does better when the team has shooters spacing the court (i.e., small ball) clearing the lane for his penetrations. Some of his easy layups came when Portland had Lopez sitting and it was just Aldridge (who had to hold off Howard) and 4 perimeter guys and the Rockets had shooters stationed all around the court.

NBATV crushing Mchale's defensive decisions on LMA. The more I think about it the more depressed I get and still gotta watch Game of Thrones tonight.

The good thing about this loss no more good vibes from the media anymore. Rocket were loose as **** coming into this game. They were really feeling themselves.

And San Antonio is a big market? You think the NBA enjoys having the Spurs win 4 titles since 1999?

There are far too many reasons to list why the Rockets have had so much trouble since the late 90's. Right now with this particular team, the most glaring deficiencies are their mediocre defense, their bench which is average at best(otherwise Garcia wouldn't be getting heavy minutes), and their suspect coaching. The good news is all of those things can be fixed. The bad news is that can't happen til this offseason.

Positive in the sense that we didn't lose by 20 points or more in a horribly officiated game of both sides. At least our offense was still there.
