The city had a good run 2004-2006, then flopped when bullish like this kept being made.

Crap lyrics, beat, and hook. Ro used to be so much better, shame he never really got paid.

    Do better

You can only talk about wheels and wood grain for so long.

Z Ro has great talent, you can feel his songs and what he's trying to say most of the time. He got that local money though, didn't sell his self to mainstream is one big reason. He just does what he does and is comfortable not going mainstream with some catchy dance song.

I'm sure there's a big hair band thread or Kenny G that caters better to your liking somewhere:)

Yeah, love me some Ro. His style too depressive for mainstream, but he's real, and ranks with Face and Bun for greatest Houston rappers. NY cats knock Face for his lack of flow, but they have nothing on ZRo.

Time for a Lil Keke and Lil Troy comeback?

    Mike Jones has disappeared too.

I sort of expect our very own paulwtfk to come out with a sick rap song. Can we say "rap song" or is that like an oxymoron?

    Git'r dunn paul!

What!? It's a basic componet of our music.

Houston rap without wood grain wheels, swangers, poping trunks, codeine, pimping hoes, and being a gangester just isn't houston rap.

    THIS IS H'TOWN

Htown needs a good clean rapper like Will Smith.

Dish out lyrics about doing good in school despite being in HISD and patience in traffic and better public transportation.

    Knowledgeable ZRo fan.

I thought about Careless Whisper before opening the spoiler.

ZRo wrecked this bullish sample. Don't really like the original either

I don't know too much about Kirko (sounds like a drake) but I thought this song was pretty dope. I still love Ro but Keke is probably my favorite H-town rapper.

You can't touch throwback z-ro and you gotta understand these dudes didn't sell out like the rest.

Has it already been a decade since Houston broke out from the underground?
