Ya, but LMA had 46, and we had 0 FT in the first half. The game was ours. They got the last "run."

 

granted the refs were awful, free throws costed us.

hats off to portland for sinking 2 straight 3's after we were being up 6. if they missed just one of those, we would have won.

They deserved the win tonight. we didn't.

The thing is Portland then just got layups and it did not stop.

Any ways, I'm still feeling very good about this series. The Blazers have to play like this EVERY night to beat our guys.

A smarter coach would've taken Howard out immediately once the Hack-a-crap started and put in Asik! So depressing...

 

I think it's a safe bet that if the Rockets lose this series, McHale is gone. No way are Morey and Les gonna waste another season on the guy if he can't even coach this team to a series victory over Portland with home court advantage.

 

Harden disappeared down the stretch tonight, concerning....

 

wasted efforts by parsons and Pb&J. You can get 2 gary paytons playing defense, but when there is no effort to commit to helping, even the paytons will get burned. been saying since day 1.

Lin scored 7 in OT, yet towards the end it was all ISO for James who had been shooting poorly most of the night. Coaching is so damn predictable.

 

remember its just the first game. awhile ago when melo was on the nuggets, they stole the first game vs the spurs.

POR came up with a great plan to attack our weaknesses--Harden's defense, Hoawrds' FT shooting, our defense vs LMA.

We came up with more of the same, with the call for more def rebounding. Coaches need to work.

So disappointed we gave up that lead. But we weren't stopping them with defense even when we had that lead

 

I don't get it. Why did Harden shoot that 3 with more than 10 seconds left? Lopez was out, LMA was out, no rim protection whatsoever. You chose a 3.

Not only that, you shot 14 3s and only made 3.

McHale, this one was on your too! I thought you called timeout for a reason.

 

True. I'm still pretty confident in the team they just need to get those key rebounds.

 

Don't want to pile on McHale but the twin towers and garcia didn't work.

If you think the refs were only making bad calls on the Rockets than you're blind, bias, and a fool.

 

The fact that this team lost with LMA and Lopez on the bench in OT scares the living **** out of me.
