Houston fans seem to thing this series in the bag.

They might actually be more delusional than Laker fans.

The lack of knowledge in that game thread is very disappointing. They've got guys who have no idea when the game actually is(dude is like "4 hours left!" Today)...Do the rockets always have that many bandwagoners or is it Howard fanboys following him to yet another team?

Especially after Yao had made an amazing play right before this shot, my only reaction was “of course it would go in.” Hopefully there’s none of that in this series.

One of our top priorities on offense must be to attack this guy. Harden's offensive impact can significantly minimized if he drops 30, but gives up 20-25 to Wessy. And you know Wessy is gonna bring it in the playoffs.

I think Houston fans would give up some of his offense for passable defense. I'd give up some of Damians scoring if his defense was average.

Harden is going to get his. So is Howard. The key is keeping Wes and RoLo out of foul trouble and making Parsons, Beverley and Lin beat you.

Ironically, the Rockets seem to see it the same way. They expect LA and Dame to get theirs, but want to force Nico and Wes to beat them.

What you don't want to do is allow them to set up their D and let Beverley harrass Lillard so the clock is 12 or under by the time we start running a play. That's death for us.

It's playoffs, time for Lillard and Harden to step up their defense and lead their teams on offense.

IMHO Stotts needs to exploit Harden in the post with Wesley Matthews. He needs to run 3-5 Wessy Post ups a quarter if you ask me...

All 4 guys on "The Starters" picked the Rockets

Those guys are idiots. If they're The Starters, I'd hate to see The Bench.

These Canadian hipsters don't know anything about hoops anyway.

The problem is that the Rockets have the big guys to wear Aldridge down we need Aldridge to win the series.

I like Jeremy Lin's chances against Lillard on the offensive end, but Lillard would cut through Lin like a hacksaw through a Twinkie on the other end.

Donatas Motiejunas has slaughtered us eerytime we've played. Only player I fear on the Rockets.

Houston would love us to cover Howard on one on one, as our shooters would love Houston to double LaMarcus. If Howard scores 30, LMA scores 30 that is a push.

Houston has a lot of players who are one dimensional, Beverly is a great defender but so so offensively, Lin is good offensively but terrible on defense, Asik is terrible on offense. Jones can't hit a shot past the free throw line. Terrance Jones is a joke as a starting PF matched up across from Aldridge.Blazers in 5 games.

Looks like Patrick Beverley has mended nicely much to Damian Lillard's chagrin. 20 points 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and a block in 33 minutes. Not good news for Dame

As long as Bev doesn't Von-Wafer us, I think we'll be fine.

They barely beat us in OT even though we were missing LMA.
And they had to pay the refs off to win it

Blazers fans don't seem grasp that the ONE thing Harden is actually good at defending is post plays. Matthews is going to get demolished... he'll be lucky to score his 16ppg average and Harden is gonna be going for 30+

To be realistic, they have just as much reason to be optimistic as we do. We have the same regular season record, it took us a great 4th quarter effort to win the head to head matchups. Both teams have 2 stars and a bunch of real good role players. This series is wide open.

Yeah, even if I wasn`t a Rockets fan I´d probably pick us. We have HCA and Harden is harder to stop than Lillard. But I absolutely expect a close series. So let them be optimistic and let us win this thing.

Does anyone else find it really annoying that they constantly refer to Lillard as Dame?

LMFAO @ that Brandon Roy gif. That's literally the same year we eliminated them from the playoffs. I hope we crush their souls tonight like we did in game 1 of the 2009 playoffs.

Also, I honestly hope they don't see "Dame" as their leader in the playoffs. I was shocked to learn through one of the podcasts (either clutch's or friendman's) that he stinks when he's against the west playoff teams. Hopefully, that trend continues so we can put them to sleep earlier.

Since there's a mini-rivalry brewing here and Portland fans are stalking this forum I'd just like to point out that I'm a huge fan of their team and wish them well!

I wouldn't call lillard a star while Aldridge is. on the other hand if Howard plays like the real Dwight of the playoffs we have 2 superstars.
