Nope. Eye tests and actual stats support the fact that Harden is one of the best post defenders in the league.

He is 97th percentile in post defense for a reason.

Was Larry Bird in charge when they traded for George Hill? If so, yeah... lookigng bad.

You can also add in losing Plumlee and Gerald Green this off season.

I don't think I"ve ever seen a team implode as quickly as the Pacers.

    Exactly.

Very smart of you for answering your own question clippy, but you don't need to answer your own question externally on the message board. Doing so internally is fine.

Elton Brand is just a shell of the All Star he used to be, but his defense, shot blocking, and rebounding ability are still working.

Left at halftime to go out to dinner. Come back to find Paul George still chucking away. 5-16 against the Hawks? LMFAO.

Well, to be fair, it's about half the defecit of the last time they played Atlanta at home. So maybe game 2 they only lose by 9.

But then they'll just lob the ball over him for an alley-oop dunk. You can't get away with defending 7 foot tall with 6'-5" tall all the time.

Of course, Harden won't be able to guard 7 footers for 38 minutes. However, it's a night and day difference between Harden's post defense and perimeter defense.

If you watched the games you'd know the answer. Harden has been iso'd against bigger guys and they didn't even get to the lower post for Dwight to help because James held his ground so well.

Only two NBA teams EVER were sub-.500 in final 25 games & won it all: '58 Hawks & '95 Rockets. 2014 Heat/Pacers both sub-.500 over final 25

PG just loses it...handling the ball. This guy was MVP material at the start of the season? Wow.

I think Harden gets too much credit for his post defense. I think he does OK with his post defense on bigs like LMA and Randolph (sparingly), but his post defense is the same as his regular "defense" vs. guards. Sometimes I think he just prefers the post because he doesn't have to move around that much and get exposed vs. PGs, SGs, and SFs.
