I've never bought into the CP3 being a playoff choker and everything. But at some point you gotta wonder if it's no longer bad luck and just something wrong. Blake Griffin will probably end up being a top-5 MVP candidate. DeAndre Jordan has a case for 3rd team All-NBA center. And now losing in game 1 to a 6th seed without their defensive anchor?

If they can't make it to WCFs this year, CP3's legacy will certainly be that of a choker who can't win the games that matter.

    Lol he couldn't wait.

Him and SAS got into it about whether CP3 is a superstar or not. Skip argued that he isn't because he hasn't had much playoff success, SAS said CP3 hasn't been on the best of teams...so no excuses this year. He absolutely can't go out in the first round.

I picked the Clippers and will stick with that though, hard to win when your other star player can't even play because of the refs.

I wouldn't call it a skill more than it is luck. Players hammer guys and don't get called, whereas in this game you can barely graze someone and get called for a foul. The refs have 100% control over fouls, not players.

It's happened to many of my teams. I still feel the human error from the refs is a big part of the game. Sometimes it is in your favor, others, it's not.

I get so sick of this argument.

Chris Paul does EVERYTHING to will his team to victory. The problem is, he ain't playing chumps: Memphis, the last 3 years and now GS.

This is more of an indictment on Blake Griffin and Deandre Jordan than on him.

That's perfectly fine, but if you are going to take the time to review the related play, why not get it right? I mean, the only reason the ball went out was cuz he was fouled, so at least give the ball to the Clippers if you aren't going to call the foul. Get it?

If I am not mistaken, before the end of game free throws fest began, the Clippers had about 15 more free throws than the Warriors.

I must say...had the Clips in 5...but man didnt expect this result...Thought that matchup of De Andre and Blake would be too much for a aged ONeal and Lee combo...boy was I wrong...The Warriors were just as plagued as the Clipps with foul trouble and the Clips were living large at the line in the 4th...Regardless, gutsy win by the Warriors who played a marvelous game.

BTW this was Chris Paul's worst playoff game ever...Missing FTs is totally uncharacteristic...And he shows his tremendous value to the team...CP3 dropped 30+ and had the offense moving when he was on the floor...They were down by ten with 4 minutes left and he helped close the gap. But down the stretch, the Warriors made more clutch plays.

Man if the rockets got the warriors treatment today every game i would be soooooo happy. Harden would average 20 ft per game.

Yes, I've seen it happen three times in the last two years, and I don't know why they didn't change the rule right away. It's bad no matter who it screws over.

But let's be real, that call alone didn't decide the game (CP3 might have bricked the FTs). The reffing as a whole totally sucked though. Y'all know you'd be saying the same thing if it were the Rockets.

It would be...but Blake didn't play. 16 mins is not enough for him to have a big impact on the game.

Part of it is luck, but the biggest part of it is not putting yourself in the position to be called for one. For example, the fourth foul on Andre I in the second quarter on the strip. You need to play situational ball.

Did you watch the game? The Clips' "top-5 MVP candidate" didn't even get to play half of the game thanks to phantom fouls. The Warriors were worse on the court when their "defensive anchor" was in the game so it was a blessing that the refs fouled him out.

No excuses! The dude doesn't win. We give grief to other stars that can't win but apparently CpFlop is untouchable. Dude is not a superstar. He never even made it out of the 2nd round!

He was the sole reason the Clippers were back in the game...with 2 huge 3s down the stretch...Be critical of Paul's poor shot selection early in the game, but he really played as hard as he could...DeAndre and Blake let a team without real bigs just own them inside...

That's cuz it was just DeAndre vs those two. Blake barely played because he had at least four touch fouls.
