I think what will be needed most is a consistent 9th rotation player that will grab the minutes that are rotated between Hamilton/Garcia/Casspi on the wings. If we're keeping the pick I don't see anyone who can step right in and be in the rotation other than maybe Daniels and Early. My preference is to trade the pick for someone that hasn't gotten a chance to prove themselves like Shabazz Muhammed on the Wolves. I think he'd be a really good fit.
2 weeks ago I would have said P.J. Hairston. However, Troy Daniels hits the three at a better clip, is cheaper, and doesn't have any potential baggage. Whoever we get, I expect them to be able to be a forward. Early from Wichita State? Robinson from Michigan? Should be some nice options available at 25.
Forgot to add: My preference is for Rodney Hood. He would be a perfect fit as he hits the 3 at a very nice clip and gets to the basket with ease. His defense is also underrated. I just don't expect him to fall to us.
Oh man he would prob make Parsons expendable  Absolutely love his game but like you said no way he falls to us especially now that some of the potential lottery talent opted to return to school. Lamar Patterson out of Pitt, LaQuinton Ross, GRII, Fuquan Edwin are some guys I feel can come in and be solid wing defenders for us.
This pick will be gone in a trade for 3rd star or at the very least slapped in a deal to clear cap space (most likely Lin). If there is no deal to be had then look for an international play to be drafted and that will give them the flexibilty to keep said player overseas for a year. In best case this pick is used to get Love, IF he decides he is not staying as a Twolf and tells his agent get me to H-Town it would no doubt be gone.
Jerami Grant looks like a sleeper that may fall to us. He will be RGV all-star - young and very green at 19yrs. (this what we do anyway) His upside is to high to pass on.
Ah, yes. The highly coveted 25th pick. I am sure many teams will be lining up for it. We are tied with portland so dont they have to select a ball out of a hat for who gets the 25th or 26th pick.
Trade it. We don't need the cap hit from that pick. Move back in the draft or package it with a player.
If the Rockets will trade out Harden,Parsons, why will Lebrons come to Houston? In fact, We can find ways to sign him as a free agenda if Lebron wound join the Rockets
