Mavs do not match up well at all. I don't watch enough NBA to know about the other teams, but I would think grizz had a better shot with the spurs than with the thunder. Didn't they beat the spurs a few years ago in the first round as an 8th seed.

Mavs let freaking patty mills go off on them in the last blowout. They can't rebound and can't defend. Pops will exploit them.

The thunder are gonna pack your **** in in the playoffs. Congrats on beating a soft ass warriors team in 5 games, but that will be the end of it. The warriors have zero front court after bogut's injury. So your no longer the mcgrady's of the first but at least mcgrady would have pulled out the sweep against this warriors team. So congrats on your second round exit.

Haha but seriously, why are you so butthurt? GSW wasn't winning with or without Bogut, so stop using that excuse. I wanted to beat their asses full strength so I'm still hoping Bogut can play.

Yeah, OKC will be a tough challenge and the Clipps won't be the favorites, but it's not like they are going to "pack our **** in". These two teams have played each other very tough in the CP3 era and Brooks is a godawful coach whose simple offensive scheme can be exploited. Also, I hope they enjoy getting beaten up in their series, because we know that feeling.

Nah. I'd still say that I'd prefer Dallas vs Spurs. Ellis is a handful, and nobody on the Spurs can guard Dirk. Memphis' big problem is they have no real offensive punch which makes them heavily reliant on team defense against the best executed half court offense in the NBA.

Memphis vs OKC is unlikely to be an upset, but at a minimum they'll beat on OKC for the entire series. Memphis beating up on the Spurs is of minimal value due to their unbelievable depth and their lack of reliance on a single "superstar" player. This is different than beating up on Durant or Griffin which severely impacts those teams' performance. OKC and the Clippers aren't execution teams, they're star driven teams.

So, given the choice I give Dallas a puncher's chance against the Spurs, and Grizzlies a smallish chance at an upset, but at a minimum they wear down Durant and potentially turn OKC/Clippers into a much longer series. And given Memphis' history, it's not totally impossible to see them upsetting both OKC and the Clippers...

I think Dallas really has zero chance vs the Spurs, and only a small chance to make the Spurs sweat. However, they are also less likely to upset OKC than Memphis, so there's that. I don't think anyone wants to play Memphis.

Also, what is this BS about the "mcgrady's of the first"? The Clippers beat Memphis in the first round just two years ago, or was that after you started watching basketball? They also beat Denver in the first in 2006.

the clippers definitely can beat okc or the spurs, the clippers problem is the grizzlies. the grizzlies can beat okc and the clippers but can't beat the spurs. the spurs can beat the clippers and grizzlies but can't beat okc. ock can beat the spurs and clippers but maybe not the grizzlies.

Every top team in the west has a team that matches up well against them.

Lol the warriors at full strength would have taken the clipps to 7 games. Now they get to be fresh against a team that has to face the toughest 7th seed team in history. And they are still gonna get owned. Blake is gonna blake in the playoffs. Ibaka is gonna dominate deandre and griffin, durant is gonna field day with whoever they try to guard hum with and i think paul is scared of westbrook.

Enjoy the first few games while you can.

I'd rather we play Memphis in the second round (God willing) than the Spurs.

Your coach isn't as good as Pop.

You got everything right except the Clipps have much more trouble with the Spurs than with the Grizzles. I mean, the Grizz are a tough matchup, no doubt, but the playoff Spurs are another thing entirely. I think a lot of Rockets fans are in for a rude awakening because of the way the regular season went. I hope I am wrong, obviously, because if the Clippers do make the WCF, far better to face anyone but the Spurs.

Agreed. He really is an amazing coach. You look at that Spurs roster and wonder how they are consistently the best team in the NBA without any real stars playing big minutes.

Your joke of a franchise lost the last 4 playoff games. That and the fact that they have only made the playoffs 4 times in their entire existence is why they are the mcgradys of the playoffs.

The grizz will be a tough first round matchup for any team. The problem is i wanted them to wear out the spurs and they would have taken them to 6 tough games. Gasol and randolph would have worn out duncan and splitter for howard to step in and dominate on them on the glass. Unfortunately, they will be fresh because dirk is soft as well as ellis and the rest of the mavs.

rocket fan got the one team that they could probably win in a playoff series, the trailblazers. it will give them false hope. however, i wouldn't count out the trailblazeers here.

lillard + aldridge > howard + harden. And I'm not just trying to rile up rocket fan. aldridge is a beast and lillard looks like he might be a special player in the playoffs.

the clippers are better than you tyhink. i can't wait for rocket fan to see how it feels like playing the grizzlies in a 7 game series. There is no shame in losing to the grizzlies. okc, spurs, clippers can all attest to that.
