^^ I've grown to love leg day, literally. Once you suck it up and train it as hard and consistently as your upper body, you'll fall in love with the gains and effects it has on your athleticism.
I hated doing legs but that was a rookie mistake during my high school days when I first started lifting. Basically concentrated too much on bench press and curls. Now, its all about squats, deadlifts, standing overhead press, back, and core. Love working on my shoulders more than chest tbh. As for leg raises, they are awsome and makes my adonis belt ripped and of course it has to go along with more focus on diet.
Which is why a lot of people hate leg day. I don't mind walking around on Popsicle sticks. Makes your upper body look even bigger. You can always wear parachute pants to hide your twig legs. I'm joking of course. I hate leg day but still do it, its just really hard to love it. Leg day pain is a different kind of pain. I don't "feel" my gains or my pump as much as I would during backs/bis or chest/tris/shoulders.
This is my favorite bulk method. #IIFYM. If it fits your mouth. I ate 10 slices of pizza yesterday, along with 5 protein bars, a bag of popcorn, and a McDonalds binge. #IIFYM.
**** leg day. I hate it. Luckily, I'm old, sickly and drink too much wine so my lifts barely go up anymore.
I have grown to love leg day. My favorite work out is the leg press. My PR as of this week is 10 plates of 45lbs. 4 sets of 20 reps. Last 2 weeks was 8 plates. 4 sets of 30 reps. After each set i would get up and do 4 sets of 20 squats. Holding 1 plate. My seated calf raise is now 130lb 4 sets of 100 reps. This is how i feel after leg day Spoiler
I have chicken legs . Gotta work my way up slowly Time consuming alternating legs. Rather hit em both at the same time
My legs are naturally pretty muscular so I don't have to worry about working them out.. Pretty cool I guess
^^ you should do single leg work..helps a lot with imbalances, not to mention athletic performance. One doesn't always jump or move off of two legs.
Anybody taking Beast creatine? I highly recommend that. My gains automatically picked up. my libido increased. I had more reps in me.
What I meant is if you can do 10 plates for 4 sets of 20, surely you can do 12-14 plates for 4 sets of 10, right? At that high of reps, I believe you're increasing your muscular endurance rather than muscle mass. I generally try not to go above 10-12 reps for anything.
