Depends on what scouting report you read I guess. I'm just not as big on Cook because I believe he'll be "specifically" a slot receiver in the NFL. There are not a lot of slot receivers doing it like Welker does and I think a big part of that is because there are a lot of inaccurate QB's in the NFL. Those guys run a lot of routes through the teeth of the defense. It's only 4-6 slot receivers even worth mentioning in the NFL and 3 of them play with Manning, Brady, and Rodgers and have another big time receiver(s) on the field with them opening up the middle of the field. Did you see Austin last season, besides a couple of big games he was nonexistent. And when Nicks fell off up in NYC _ so did Victor Cruz.

But I think Cook is a good pick for San Francisco at the back of the 1st though. They need some speed on their offense from somewhere.

Receivers are like eye candy and they are hard to resist. As many people on this board that says the "receiver position is deep" _ 5 receivers were still drafted in the 1st round. And odds are only one of them will pan out to be a consistent #1 option.

Originally, it was going to be 3-4, but this is when it can really get interesting...pulling sleepers/really far out picks, plus more commentary.

Either way, the team effort here has been fantastic....

And, of course the product will be around to poke at ad infinitum.

    You guys decide.

    It DOES obviously take time/effort....

I think everyone here had a part in drafting for the Packers... And the same with Philly apparently. Plowman, Flash, NewRoc, etc had a great collective effort drafting.

Kudos all around, but... we still have a few more picks in Round Four, let alone continuing on for another round or two if desired...

Seems that RedNation made his first round pick, then stopped. Should we just make the pick for him?

I believe KC needs included WR (Bechham), OL (Dozier), Safety, CB, and TE. Would any of the following make sense:
    TE: Crocket Gilmore, Colorado State
    Safety: Kenny Ladler, Vanderbilt
CB: EJ Gaines, Missouri or Walt Aikens, Liberty

I was thinking CB for KC but if you want to make the pick, go for it NRF. :)

Should we wait for another hour?

Just in case, it appears the Saints are looking for WR, FS, and ILB (they re-Zach Streiff, so OT isn't that big a need). Since the earlier picks were DE (Early), CB (Roberson) and Martin (C), does a WR like TJ Jones, Notre Dame, Kevin Norwood, Alabama, Mike David, WR, Texas, or Jared Abrederis, Wisconsin?

Or perhaps Kenny Ladler, FS, Vanderbilt?

It was a tough choice, between two pretty even possibilities, but...

With the 29th pick in round four, the San Francisco 49ers select... Chris Smith, DE, Arkansas

I was hoping to think about a QB with this pick, since the 49ers could use a young backup to develop. I am guessing that may come in a later round. But the questions flying around Aldon Smith made this an important selection. The other DE (OLB) that I was thinking about was James Gayle of Virginia Tech.

30 (130). New England Patriots(mhch20) is now on the clock...
