Those improvements are not to fit the system. They were thing he needed to improve on to be a better NBA player.

Dragic wasn't himself the last three games. He's playing on one ankle.

I certainly don't think they would have the 4th seed, 6th or lower perhaps. Lin's defense is better and that is what the Rox needed.

What extra year? Its a player option, the worst of its kind contract. He has a good year, he's opting out and the team loses him possibly. He has a ****ty year and the team is stuck with him. I'd rather he get a full 4y deal with no option, rather than a 3 plus player option.

You mean the same player option Howard has after the third year?

I'm a big Lin fan (really, and I get ragged on for that) but honestly I think Dragic is a (slightly) better player than Lin and definitely a better fit with Harden than Lin is. Similar to Lin, Dragic is deadly on the fast break but from what I've seen, has a better 3 point stroke and is on par defensively with Lin.

But he is 10y proven Dwight Howard. #1 free agent in the market. Brought his moribund team to the big SHOW, Dwight Howard.

OK, so assuming he starts what happens to the bench? Will they be as productive as with Lin there? So what if he doesn't start? Will his attitude be as good as Lin's to accept his demotion behind a rookie-soph especially after signing a big contract and starting all of the previous year?

Dwight Howard when he is on his game is one of the most dominant players in the NBA.

Are you suggesting that giving Dragic a player option is the same as giving Dwight freakin' Howard a player option?

Morey didn't want to give Dragic a player option cause he wanted to have the flexibility to go after players like Dwight Howard in 2015.

Dragic choked. But he's still a superior player than Lin. LOL @ LOFs taking every opportunity to bash present and former Rox PGs not named Lin.

yeah, i agree that dragic is way ahead of lin right now. actually it would be a great goal for lin to be playing like dragic in a couple years.

Player options are what you hand out to Franchise talent. Dwight and Harden are players you will do whatever is necessary to sign them whatever the cost, even if that means you are risking that they are injured and you're stuck paying them for sitting on the bench in their last year.

Dragic prior to this year (11 seasons) was Never the sort of player that you could offer that kind of contract and confidently feel like you made the correct choice.

Dragic turned down 4 years of more guaranteed money for a shot at really big money. He could have taken 3 guaranteed years if he didn't want to commit long term. He could have taken 4 guaranteed years if he wanted stability. He could have taken 3 years + a team option if he felt confident that he would earn his contract.

Instead, he demanded 3 years + player option. He wanted the table rigged in his favor and Morey decided that he wasn't going to play that game.

What? Absolutely not. I don't care who is the PG on our team this year, we were making the playoffs with Harden, Parsons and Howard.

You do know that player option for Dwight is more about getting him a second max deal here in Houston right? by doing an ETO then he can re-sign here again and recoup the money he left behind in L.A.

I thought you knew that kind of stuff DD.

I didn't expect the Suns to make the playoffs, with or without Dragic.

What if they had had Harden instead of Dragic?
