Well the signs are all there. She saw what happened to Sansa and doesn't want her grand daughter to be the next punching bag. "It's a terrible crime to kill someone at a wedding "---just before.

Finally got a chance to watch it. Damn, it was about time. That kid did a damn good job acting...making everyone hate the character.....that or he is a little prick IRL.

Another thing I find myself wondering is who gets the Valyrian sword Joffrey was presented with?

will Sansa be in trouble now? Aside from her husband, everybody saw that she also touched the goblet, AND, she's wearing the poison carrier, could be easily noticed since it's broken.

The Tyrells really planned this out smartly. If they get pinned, they can simply point the finger to Sansa's necklace.

I doubt they want Sansa to take any blame in this. Tyrion? Sure, who cares he's a Lannister. Sansa though would be of importance to the Tyrells I would imagine. They want her favor. After all, it appears part of the plan was for the fool to smuggle her out in the confusion. The Tyrells probably hope that Sansa ends up in control of the north.

watched some speeches he's done, seems like an awesome guy. Brilliant acting to really make everyone despise him the way he did

Yeah by all accounts he's actually a really nice guy and the other actors on the show love him.

He deserves all the credit in the world for his performance. I know it was good for the fans to see him get his (show can't survive with nothing but bad guy victories) but the show is definitely worse off for losing him.

You take a guy like the Ramsay b*stard who has actually been more sadistic, or the Red Witch who seems to be incredibly evil, or Cersei who is a conniving B...

None of those characters generate the hatred that Joffrey did. He played his character so well. Sadistic, nasty, petulant, bratty, arrogant, wussy, etc. He wrapped it all up into one without being funny or amusing or someone you could excuse because he seemed to be a total nutbag or just trying to survive this cruel world, etc.

By far the best performance on the show in my opinion. Deserves an emmy.

Got the books a while back but haven't read them. Seriously contemplating starting now. Question for the book readers, does the show lose its luster if you know everything that is about to happen?

Wanted to read the books but I'll wait for the show to end, first. Think watching it first will have a better effect regarding the twists, etc. Afterwards, reading the book should still be nice, plus they're more detailed.

I've heard that reading the books really affects watching the show, but that the books are still a great read after watching the show because there is so much more detail.

That was my point. He is sadistic and sick yeah, but his style is comical in nature.

No I still love the show. I am actually amazed how popular the show is among non-readers, since some things are so complex that you cannot understand everything if you have not read the books.

After reading the books you appreciate certain things more because you know what it forshadows.

Not for me, the books have alot more details, and the show changes quite a few things. The only thing negative for me is that is that some of the scenes that don't live up to the book or are changes for the worse annoy me. It's like watching a movie about a historical event like a world war 2 movie where you know the ending, but you don't know how the movie is going to get there or portray it all or how historically accurate they are going to be.

I've read the books and still find the show fascinating. Sure, you're robbed of speculation and surprise a lot, but you really appreciate little things a lot more.
