Can we start giving Harden props for his good defense lately?

    Harden is the best reach around ball stripper when they blow by you.

    He lulls his man into false confidence by his flat-footedness and boom! he strips you with that reach around.

    EVERY player needs to bring it EVERY game. They're getting paid millions. Don't care if you're injured or mentally fatigued. If you can't hack it, sit your ass out of the game. PB is a great example of someone who brings it EVERY game. A couple of players in particular need to learn from PB.

    Yes, they had. I am so happy Presti couldn't see how good Harden was. Can you imagine what he could have gotten for Westrbook if he had traded him (or if he could just get rid of Perkins).

    Harden is capable, he's just mostly lazy.

    Yep, 4 All-Star level players under 23 years old... pretty amazing.

    I think Harden's D will pick up considerably come playoff time.

    As others said, he's shown to be a capable perimeter defender, he would rather just conserve his energy for the offensive end (I refuse to say 'lazy' because that's just dumb).

    Harden is one of if not the worst defender in the nba, mostly because lack of effort, no fundamentals, and mental errors. I can't think of anyone else in the league who is worse. I challenge anyone to prove me otherwise.

    Kevin Martin is a bad defender
    But Harden is the worst defender.
    Having watched both players as Rockets throughout the years, it's not even close. The maddening thing about James is that he has the physical tools, just missing everything intangible as mentioned previously. Until he becomes an average defender, he is not a true top 10 player.
