This is actually ideal for us. Rd1 Clippers vs GSW OKC vs Memphis/Phoenix/Dallas (hopefully Memphis) Rd 2 Clippers/OKC or GSW/OKC Whoever ends up in the WCF from that side of the bracket will have to run through a brutal gauntlet of games. I'll take Portland + Spurs over that for sure
The last three years the Clippers & Warriors have had some intense games with a lot of physical play & trash talking (instigated primarily by clown coach Jackson). These teams legitimately don't like each other. It'll be a great series, tho I expect the Clipps to win in 5.
Only guys that would have gotten time off are Harden and Parsons. McHale has to run Dwight and Bev for minutes to get them back in rhythm anyway. And hopefully McHale restrains himself on the minutes for Harden and Parsons.
Yes mostly because of health. The Rockets have been missing Howard for a while now and he just came back a little rusty. Portland is a team that has no idea what points in the paint are.
Hoping a day of rest will do the Rox good. Everyone should suit up for this one. Troy Daniels should back up Harden and hopefully Hamilton has his head, out of his ass so he can back up Parsons No Casspi please
Do we really believe HCA is the difference between winning and losing a series vs Portland? Even if we make it to the finals the likely Eastern champs (Miami or Indy) will still have HCA over us.
That's what I meant, I was hoping especially Harden would get to join Parsons on the bench for some needed rest for this week. Harden will surely have to suit up at least for tomorrow. Oh well, thats what the Rox get for not taking care of business earlier.
Hahaha it would truly take a miracle for that to happen though. Can you imagine Detroit winning @OKC with the 2 seed at stake?
If Warriors lose against Minny and Dallas and Dallas wins out, then the clippers would face Dallas instead. Hope that doesn't happen.
Perfect. If the Rockets can't beat a San Antonio team (whom they've already beaten 3 times) with nothing to play for or a depleted New Orleans team who isn't that good when healthy then they don't deserve the 4 seed anyways.
Of course, I'm just speaking in broad terms. The worst part about losing HCA would mean that we finished the season going 1-4 and Portland would come in going 5-0
We need all of our players (especially Patman and D12) in a meaningful game at home to help rid the (pre-Sunday) pacer- like funk. As long as there are no injuries, they will be fine. They are young, so rest is not as critical in general as it will be in 2-3 yrs. Go rox. SWEEP.
As usual, you're wrong. Williams has been in the post-season 4 times. Aldridge has been in the post-season 3 times. Batum has been in the post-season 3 times. Wright has been in the post-season 3 times. Mathews has been in the post-season 2 times. Watson has been in the post-season 2 times. Lopez has post-season experience as well. Also, Aldridge and Batum were on the 08-09 Blazers that were eliminated by the Rockets for Houston's only playoff series victory during the last 16 seasons. You were probably still a LOF, which explains why you didn't know that. Next time do a little bit of research before you start speaking in absolutes.
