    Is there really evidence that how "hot" a team is going into the postseason affects the outcome of that series?

    I mean, last year's conference finals teams and their record to end the year.

    Miami 5-0
    Indy 1-4
    SA 1-4
    Memphis 4-1

    Houston in 5, no later than 6. Portland has no one to cover Howard and Harden seems to have their number. Beverley needs to be healthy. I really worry about LMA though but if gets his number ineffiently like 25 points on 20+ shots then it will be okay. We are a better version of them and we can play defense haha

    It's way overblown. Some people are acting like the sky is falling for us over a couple down games (while forgetting we beat OKC a week ago).

    People have to realize that the Rockets dont respect these lower teams that's why they struggle. Rockets respect Portland and LMA and will bring the A game every game. Rockets will look like the team we came to love just a couple weeks ago. you'll see.

    I think it's more a case of the Rockets don't respect the regular season when it comes to resting injured players compared to the playoffs.

    Quite frankly, why should they? It's not like the NFL where you can actually get a bye if you play well enough.

    Think Pop will play his starters limited minutes tomorrow night with truly nothing to play for. That being said, their scrubs still play very well as a team.

    rockets in six. I think our team will need to adjust same with mchale, and portland will put up a good fight.

    If I'm Pop, I might look ahead to the 2nd round, decide I'd prefer the Blazers over the Rockets and decide not to rest my starters. I'm interested to see what he does tomorrow.

    The Rox immaturity and shaky coaching has really reared its ugly head down the stretch and scares me going into the playoffs. Rox "should" beat the Blazers but I find it hard to just give them the benefit of the doubt against a team they "should" beat because of their immaturity and shaky coaching. If I was Rox management, McHale would be coaching for his job in this first round match-up. If Rox are one and done in a playoff series they should win, McHale should be gone.
