or texxxpert, if you will. ive been to coachella. i know a good coachella line-up and this sir is not a good line-up. as someone mentioned, the undercard is stacked with some quality acts that i would love to see, but those headliners are WEAK! how many legit festival headliners are on the bill here? i see two or three...outcast, arcade fire and maybe beck (i love beck, but he is probably questionable as a headliner at this point in his career). those are the best three bands they could get this year??? did they even try to get van halen or gorgoroth or depeche mode??? i went in 2004 - we had f***ing radiohead and pixies one night and flaming lips and the cure the next. 4 of my 5 favorite bands of the last 30 years in 2 nights. anyway, have fun at "skrillex" - lol.
Yeah this is the weakest EDM lineup I can remember. Girl Talk AND Skrillex? At least the bros should stay confined to the Sahara this year.
I love that Sunday line up. Surfer Blood, plus Arcade Fire as the headliner makes it a good call. Add to that Neutral Milk Hotel, Strfkr, Fishbone, Bad Manners, etc. That would be a pretty fun day.
I dont consider myself that hip and up to date, and that thought came to mind I wonder if the 2 weekend requirement hinders some acts from playing the festival.Maybe too much commitment even if it pays well
so you're saying you would prefer foster the people to van halen? and you would prefer watching girl talk stand around playing other peoples records instead of watching gorgoroth? seriously, who the f*** books this festival? they really dropped the ball this year. r kelly is touring right now...did they even ask him?
One thing I've found out during my time at Coachella... regardless of the act, the Sahara tent is a freaking amazing experience. I've gone to sets with acts I don't want to see, and still love the show and have a blast. The venue is just that amazing - especially with all the tech upgrades they added last year.
nas came out as a surprise during the beastie boys set and performed with them when i was at bonnaroo. t'was awesome
From what I've read, Outkast really mailed it in and didn't have much energy or interest in being on stage. Pretty disappointing.
Yea. The sad part was they couldn't get the crowd involved. And the crowd couldn't song along to like 70% of the tracks. For Nas everyone was pumped up and was at least saying a few lines from illmatic. He bout out Jigga and Diddy.
Get your groove on Leo D! <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/EDSpbu4CzUk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Edit: It was taken down but internet is eternal.
Is that really him? Those celebs are often paid tens of thousands of bucks to show up by corporations and then are given back stage VIP passes. I don't see a scenario where Leo would be standing around the peasants.
