i agree with the murph and am peeved just as much as him but what is up with the solid color suit? I miss the plaid suits!

 

The Rockets are playing their best players against a 3rd string non-playoff team. Even if they are in a funk they should still be crushing these type of teams.

 

wtf happen. The game was tie at 39 each when I left with about 5min left. They scored 20 points in the last 5 mins?

 

I'm a Rockets fan but I just can't root for a team that doesn't play hard.
If you don't care about the game then why suit up?

Rockets have 1 quarter. If they don't do something in the third this will be the first game all season I turn off. I cannot watch this brand of basketball. I'll tune in when they give a damn.

I try not to be too knee-jerk, but if we give up home court advantage in the playoffs because we can't beat bad teams who are missing their best players, then I would say that the sky is indeed falling.

 

I hope he is. You can tell he does not prepare for games at all. He relies on everyone else do do the work. With samspon gone it is really beginning to show. The scouting report is non-existamt. He is just going into games thinking he will win purely on talent. These teams still have players playing for contracts. The,players want to get paid and they control whether or not their team is tanking. The front office can only rest their stars, but that does not mean they can make the players on the floor suck and embrace the tanking effort.

It is only 7 players that they had to scout. Laziness.

 

I think its as simple as this team just doesn't respect non-playoff teams as they should. They think they can just half-ass it through to a win.

What they are forgetting is these injury depleted teams are playing players who's NBA careers are on the line these last few games. Tonight's game is a prime example...for these Pelican players THIS game is their NBA finals.

Personally, the only thing I we can hope for is someone gets vocal and angry and wakes this team the F up before its too late.

It was a terrible idea.

The Rockets paid for it in the first half.

I expect an easy win by the mid 4th. I never expected the Blazers to get to a gm7! HCA doesn't mean as much to me as others.

Rockets can't afford to work on chemistry round 1! They aren't that good.

Of course. I agree. This is not indicative of how good the Rockets are, though. When the playoffs come, they will perform much better with a much better sense of urgency, I believe.

Having said that, yes, I don't like seeing us toy with our home court advantage like this, but I'm also not going to believe that a week of poor play is reason to act like the Rockets are bound to get swept round 1 like many people are acting like.

 

Is it legal to spank? If so the entire team should be spanked 50 times after the game today, 100 times if they lose.

 

While this is disheartening and downright embarrassing to watch, i don't think this is the type of effort we'll see from the Rockets come playoff time.
Much of the reason why we've played so poorly as of late is because we are playing down to our opponents. Fortunately (or unfortunately) for us, there will be no 'playing down' to the opponents level in the playoffs. I'm confident that once the playoffs start, everyone will be switched on and ready to play.
