With home court advantage still in doubt, I have been baffled to read comments and local articles about giving our starters some rest before the playoffs start. That talk seems quite premature and ill-advised to me. Home court advantage is an "advantage" for a reason.

I agree, don't rest until we clinch home court, especially with the race as tight as it is with only 3 games left.

If the starters want to rest, then they should have won last nights game.

46 mins for Harden last night and back to back tonight. If he's not careful, that hinge he calls a neck is gonna break when he keeps on flopping in all these games.

This team is limping into the playoffs

I'm baffled, they are not 35-40 years old, they are young and not even working the hardest they can so NO REST ALLOWED!!

Players still get worn out no matter how young they are. In fact, the really young guys arguably get more worn down than some veteran players since they're not quite used to the 82-game grind yet.

That being said, the Rockets can't afford to rest anyone right now and they have no one to blame but themselves. Had they taken care of business last night, tonight's matchup with the Pelicans would've allowed them to clinch home court and take the next week off. Instead, Dwight and Bev will be forced back into the starting lineup and they may not have home court wrapped up til Monday or even Wednesday.

That was before Wednesday's game against Denver.

3 games left, yeah, I doubt they're resting anyone. That's out the window.

And the talk of Beverley and Dwight coming back and "hopefully" getting in 2-3 games before the playoffs, time is running out on that too.

Yeah I don't get all the comments calling for rest. Playing ball for 30-40 minutes out of a 24 hour day for young, conditioned athletes isn't killing anyone. Not to mention the days with no games for even more rest.

What would be ironic is if we neither get rest for our starts nor clinch HCA

I just hope they don't rush back Bev or Howard and risking them playing at a lower level in the playoff. It does look bad, but the team do have enough to win and they just need to go out there and win these last few games to lock down HCA.

Well, the last time we got home court advantage it didn't turn out so well.

I think the NBA is also resting the referees against us.

J.R. makes the proper defense. Not many were advocating that the starters should rest last night. It was more for the Nuggets game on the 2nd half of a back-to-back.
