I'm going to leave this here for people to read. This is what he said after the game: This guy needs to be accountable and stop shifting the blame to the players. When you overplay your starters 42+ minutes with barely any rest what do you expect them to do? For his job security, I sincerely hope he figures out what to do when playoffs start.
Whenever McHale leaves or is fired, it won't be George Karl. He is far too strong-willed to work for Morey. Rockets don't want an old school type of coach. They want someone who will buy into the organizational script without dissent.
I think i's pretty obvious that Chris Finch is being groomed to take over whenever McHale's time is done.
Last time I checked, Hakeem Olajuwon is still part of the Organization, so that makes Mchale expendable.. as far as Coaches I wouldn't mind Sloan, Karl, or JVG
He'd actually be okay as long as you force a top flight defensive assistant. At least his offensive sets and plays out of time outs would be really good. That said he's not the greatest ego management guy, on the other hand if the roster is low maintenance players tend to love him due to the freedom he gives them offensively. He'd also make an excellent offensive coordinator. SVG is an interesting choice. He's stats driven as well, but the real question would be whether Dwight would be okay with having him as his HC again. Apparently they made up, but that doesn't mean they want to work together again.
Either Van Gundy would make Dwight shrivel and look for a way out of the organization. With JVG, SVG would come visit or what not or Dwight might have anxiety about them talking to each other with his past and all. Jerry Sloan it is. We just need a scooter and oxygen tank to accommodate his current health and age.
