Lol are you serious? They play the same as Barca used to ,basically Tiki Taka Pass, pass, pass, pass and repeat it 3000 times over, yet still can't create meaningful chances, they were much more fun under Heynckes, even Beckenbauer says it is not fun to watch them. But hey to each his own.
I wonder how they advanced to the semi-finals in the Champions League without meaningful chances...yeah, such losers!
Hahaha, can't create meaningful chances!?! Let's ask the current ecl champs, and heavily favored team to repeat how they win. Let's also ask Barca who won the ecl twice and made it to the semis 7 straight times how they got there. While we are at it, let's alao ask Spain how they won Euros twice and also world cup.
EPL is the strongest league, no question. All other leagues feature maybe 10 teams who could even compete there. The rest are just complete **** from poor farm towns. Bayern just so boring all around. Makes me want to puke every time I see Robben's bald head. I think he blinds his opponents with it and uses that to slip by them the way he does.
If Bayern fails to win the finals, I think SJC should be forced to stop supporting Bayern and root for Arsenal instead.
Do you watch Europa league much? Teams left are basically Spanish or Portuguese. And last year Benfica won. All European leagues are top heavy.
Europa League is a bush league competition. The prize money is lolworthy so PL and Serie A teams often play with a combined squad because their incentive to win this is next to none. On the other hand, Spanish teams play their asses off because at least half of the La Liga teams are close to bankruptcy and the TV rights distribution is monopolized by Barcelona and Real, so every penny is worthwhile for them. For those who are not informed, TV rights deals for La Liga and Premier League: Spoiler Completely agree, Premier League is the best and it's not even close. And yes, compared to Jupp's Bayern, this Bayern is awfully boring to watch. I'm hoping to see Lahm as a goalkeeper in the near future, he's already played every other position.
Spurs played their full squad and tried really hard. They got beaten by Benfica who are probably going to lose to Juventus. My only point was that there is still quality out there and the PL has decent depth but is no less a top heavy league than La Liga or Bundesliga. At the end of the day Everton will not be winning the league title. It will almost always be one of the big 4-5 so it is not as if there is anything close to a more parity. Also, who was the last big star the PL stole from a Euro league? It usually goes the other way. The biggest players are not choosing England lately for whatever reason. I say all this, by the way, as a fan of the PL and it is the league with which I am most familiar and where I live. But I don't think it ins light years ahead of every other league.
Meh, Tottenham has always been a joke. Juventus is in the semifinals and they've been cruising so far, Chelsea won the EL last season and they didn't even try to win games until reaching semifinals. Yes, Premier League has 4-5 teams competing for the title, but it is still more than in any other major league. And then you have a bunch of good teams that can steal points from the favorites. I've watched more Southampton, Everton and Newcastle (before Cabaye left) games than those of any other team this season, except for Liverpool. Do you have trap games like that in La Liga? No, you have teams like Elche, Rayo, Granada, Celta in the middle of the table, teams that would probably get trashed regularly in PL. Then there's Villarreal, a team that was just promoted to La Liga this season and is currently comfortably sitting in the 7th place. Not to mention that most of the league is in debt. Sevilla's former president is in jail, Valencia's former president has been arrested for plotting to kidnap the current one (!!!) and every other team looks to sell their young talents and quality players sooner rather than later just to keep their heads above water. Ligue 1 winner is the team with the most money (Lyon, Monaco, now PSG). If they're in a transitional period, along comes a squad like Montpellier and wins the league, just to get embarassed in the CL next season. I love Serie A more than any of these leagues, but it's in a crisis, after Calciopoli and other match fixing scandals. Most of the teams are owned by shady characters and they care more about money laundering through transfers, loans and co-ownerships than success. Bundesliga has been improving over the years, but they're still not up to par. Schalke and Leverkusen are 3rd and 5th in the standings, but they've been knocked out easily in CL. And in the end Bayern is the only formidable team from Germany, other teams are just passersby and their success is not sustainable (Dortmund now, Wolfsburg, Werder, Leverkusen recently). All in all, PL is the most stable league of them all, with teams rarely getting into financial trouble and at least 4 of them fighting for the title year after year. Yes, top teams from other leagues have been better than top teams from PL lately, but that's not a valid reason for discrediting PL. No one can tell me they'd rather watch Valladolid-Almeria than WBA-Cardiff (link), or any other game for that matter. Premier League is always exciting, regardless of who's playing, and that can't be said about any other league (Bundesliga has had some great matchups, but again, they're still not up to par and probably won't be).
Kind of off topic but it's been bugging me for a while now. Did you purposely not finish your moniker when you signed up or were there a character limit back then?
I always thought that his moniker was Croation Sensation, I didn't even see that was not what his moniker said
I had made the account in about 30 seconds, not even realizing that the max username length was 15 characters. Realized it soon after when trying to log in, had a Bill O'Reilly-like nervous breakdown and decided to stick with it. Meh, no big deal.
