It does't matter if we win or loose those games... But how come He let Harden play 46 min Parson43 and rest his bench?!
This is what I don't understand. Canaan and Jeremy, and damn near everyone else played like ****. Mchale shouldn't have benched them though. Just play it out. of course hindsight is 20/20 so all the minutes seem silly now, but what if they won? Mchale should have normal rotations. one thing he cant do is destroy Lin's already fragile psyche. Benching him for most of the 3rd and 4th tells me he has no faith in him going into the playoffs... no bueno.
Really. So riddle me this. Why would you want another year of this? The same mistakes. The same dismal losses. Wasting ANOTHER year of the already short championship window we have? I'll wait for you to post an intelligent response.
We are way too dependent on one player offensive skill to carry the team, not in the closing moment, not in the 4th, not in a majority of the game, but in every single mins of the game. I don't think that's a successfully long term strategy. I do blame that on the coaching staff.
Team option for next year. "Thanks for three good years but we're moving in a different direction." Yeah, probably unlikely.
A year of what? 50+ wins in a the most competitive conference in the NBA? Dismal losses? It's called an 82 game season.... Who are we replacing McHale with? Do you have that lined up yet or just roll the dice when the season is over? Our championship window started this season. I'll await your intelligent response.
The coaches that Denver and Memphis fired are better than Mchale. Kelvin Sampson who now coaches U of H is better than Mchale... man I can coach better than Kevin McHale it's a crying shame but it's the truth. Mchale is a great hall of fame nba player but coaching wise he is below average.
And one coach does TV analyst and the other isn't with a NBA team..... Best Kelvin Sampson could do is UH bball.... And no..... you couldn't do ***** for a NBA team.
Apparently the concept of double-teaming Corey Brewer and forcing someone else to beat the Rockets never occurred to McHale. And threatening to bench guys who refuse to run back on defense is a bridge too far for him I suppose. Or how about letting Parsons or Lin initiate the offense and have Harden come off of picks or cut to the hoop to get him free? You'd think after the 20th time the T'Wolves double-teamed him at the top of the key and forced the ball out of his hands that McHale would've made some sort of adjustment, but I guess he didn't know what to do.
Almost every time Houston teams get good they get a dumb coach but when they have average teams they get a good coach. Now this idiot throws his players under the bus while he stands on the sidelines the entire game talking a bunch a bs with no clear strategy or in game adjustments.
It's really funny how McFail apologists will come in here with all kinds of abstract numbers to try and support him being head coach, but then they look absolutely ridiculous after a performance like this one. Not to mention when McFail provides us with gems like the one below that further demonstrate his incompetence: Omg, I'm dying, this is the coach of your Houston Rockets, lol!
Not to mention when McFail provides us with gems like the one below that even further demonstrate his incompetence: the Lakers will trade a few players and Mike D for McHale. It isn't that bad, and McHale is so well respected it's unreal sorry haters. Haters will hate, the coach Coaches, and players play. Coaching isn't McHale's strong suit that's why we have "Assistant Coaches." Anyways blast him away after what he's done bringing this team TOGETHER. There is no rift goin on. We're going to be in the playoffs and we've rested some players, and some players we haven't, but they are young... Not everyone be Greg POP
