Remember Denver is pretty good when catching team in the 2nd night of a back to back at home, that altitude always influence games, specially vs a depleted Rockets. Once the scrubs play with fresh legs Denver looked average.

Make no mistake, I love the Rockets. This is has been an incredibly entertaining season (despite the fact that Uncle Les screwed us out of seeing most of the games), but, bless their hearts, the Rockets play some of the worst perimeter defense I have ever seen. A lot of that has to do with Beverly out but still. It is target practice for most teams, b2b, home or away. Just awful.

A lot of it has to do with Harden not defending his man on the perimeter and Jones not putting a body on his man on rebounds.

Yes, gutsy comeback. B2B didn't matter. Have to admire a team with nothing to gain playing that hard.

You know that you are a basketball nut when you are up this late watching games.

I remember that during the Scola years we played hard every game. And we won many games just by giving more effort than the opponent. However when the end of the year came around other teams also started playing as just as hard, and we didnt have enough talent to beat the good teams. We had no shot of making advancing in the play offs.

I want our team to play hard every game, however I'm happy that we can now win games on talent alone, maybe we will lose some games because we do not play hard enough, but we know that when the play-offs arive they will pay hard, and in combination with the talent we have we actually have a chance to advance in the play offs.

So overal I am happy. The regular season doesnt matter all that matters is that this team is healthy and learn to play together. When this team is playing as they should we can beat any team. We are just a better team than Portland and GS. And I believe we can beat any team in a 7 game series. (will we win it all i doubt it, but we do have a chance. It is a similar situation to the Dutch national soccer team in 2010. They had the talent level to beat any team, but there were also teams they could lose to.

One of either Portland or Golden State will lose again since they have to play each other. Spurs winning and Golden State losing last night was sooooo key. Plus with the injuries to Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon just wow I think God wants us to be the 4th seed and play Portland...

And that was why Scola was my favorite player at the time.

Now the playoff seating is down to the two games against NO. With their top player out for the season, Rockets better take the opportunity, not play down to opponents level again and again.

It's not a jinx if that's who the Rockets are.... fat losers. not hungry enough to win. Bev is ****ing starving! Bev steals food from his teammate's plate which makes them hungry too. Bev never wants to go back. I wonder what Bev what have done to brewer when he hit 25 points...

Should be able to win but it can be tough winning 2 times against the same team within a week span. They will always get extra motivated if they lose the first one.

Pelicans need to tank at this point to secure some more lottery balls. They can't win. On the flip side, we need to get Howard and Beverley back into game shape so I see them playing some big minutes soon. I'll be shocked if we don't end up with the 4 seed.

    Yep.

As frustrating as these last few games have been, we're missing arguably our two most important defenders, and 2 of our 4 most important players. It's hard for any team to overcome that. These last few games are hardly what the Rockets normally would be like.

We're definitely winning tomorrow at home against the Pels then probably Monday against Spurs cuz they'll be resting everyone plus it's fan appreciation night. If not Monday def Wed again against Pels. We're still getting the 4th seed in my opinion and HCA.

Portland is .008 percentage points behind us in the standings. In other words, we are virtually tied. Rockets have three games left. Portland has two home games to finish. It is totally possible that we finish with identical records. Then what?

If we have identical records, then don't we still get home court because we have the tie-breaker?
