We're missing a max player and our only perimeter player who can play defense.

Doom and gloom? Just gave up 51 to Corey Brewer!
Decent team? Oh, you mean a team without Love, Pekovic, Martin, Budinger.

Driver's seat? They're driving down the wrong road.

    O. Asik 9 points 15 rebounds
    G. Dieng 12 points 20 rebounds

Now if Dieng is complaining about not starting over Pekovic then I understand that. Asik you got outplayed and your man hit the winning shot. Tired of hearing your overrated azz getting hyped up.

I think people are seriously underestimating the Blazers. They have been winning games down the stretch and looks like they will be entering the playoffs with some momentum. Even if the Rockets get Beverley and Howard back before the playoffs it's going to take a few games for them to get back in rhythm and into game shape. I think home court advantage is crucial for the Rockets.

We need to get Howard and Beverly some time on the court before the end of the year, are they coming back tomorrow night perhaps?

Why can't you see that no one was guarding Brewer?

What you want to know is who was supposed to be guarding Brewer.

    No leadership on the floor.

No one that holds the players accountable - no team leader - we have excellent players, but we lack that win at all costs leader.

That is why Bev is so important he provides that toughness.

He is more important to this teams success than many realize, or maybe folks are now starting to notice.

Blazers still 2 wins behind with 3 to go. We're in the driver's seat.

Absolutely 100% explained what had happened for the first 4 possessions in the second half.

Well, let me take a crack at this. First of all, the Rockets did NOT lose to a decent team. The T'Wolves with Love, Martin, and Pekovic are arguably a decent team. Without those three, they're in Lakers territory. The only way you lose a game like that is if you get outhustled which is exactly what happened tonight.

And as for still being in the driver's seat, technically you're right. The Rockets still control their own destiny. Shoot, they can even still drop one more game and not lose home court. But how confident does any Rockets fan feel right now that the team will be able to win either the Spurs game on Monday or at New Orleans Wednesday even if both teams are shorthanded? I sure as hell don't. I ain't even feeling confident about tomorrow night at Toyota Center at this rate.

The Rockets want home court advantage, they want that 7th game at home. Honestly there is no excuse not to keep the 4 seed. Now, Harden and Parsons will get less rest and there is no guarantee they win 2 of their last 3.

Having said that, if the Rockets fall to the #5 seed it isn't a foregone conclusion McHale is fired and it isn't certain or even likely the Rockets lose to the Blazers in round 1, even without home court. The Rockets will be getting back Beverley and Howard. Further they match up very well against Portland.
