Are you kidding me? Everybody on this entire forum was all over him early on in the season when those ISO plays were failing big time.

Wasn't a miracle. We did it against the blazers too. We have that capability and that win is ours.

I can promise you that the Spurs on pride alone will want to win to keep from being swept (that's right, correct?) NO has nothing to lose and we have to play them twice. We lose to SA and split with NO and there you are. Teams can't just turn it on and off. An, the effort has been absolutely embarrassing the last couple of games.

I've been saying since the Rockets lost to the Clippers that it was a possibility. I wasn't trying to be a Debbie Downer. But Portland is not going to hand us HCA. We have to go out and earn it. And we're simply not doing that. It's still right there for the taking, but this kind of half-assed effort against shorthanded teams with nothing to play for is not going to get it done. You can't come out and spot a crappy T'Wolves team a 15-point first quarter lead and let Corey Brewer look like T-Mac out there and expect to win games.

For the people saying "don't worry" -- may I remind you that we just gave up 130 points to the Lakers a few days ago? This team is playing ZERO defense right now. You cannot trade buckets and just hope to outscore in the postseason.

The loss is not solely on Lin. Of course not. He just continues to be the worst starter on the team. 5 turnovers in 26 minutes is pathetic. I was pointing this out because many of his supporters have this unreasonable confidence that he was going to hit a game winning shot tonight.

After some time, when things repeat itself over and over, it's not just about effort.

You mean the 2 pointer that he completely bricked right after scoring 7 straight points including a 3 contested pointer and 4/4 FT's that got us back into the game? Or the perfectly timed pass that got Harden to the line on Brewer's foul?

Lin may not be consistent over 4 quarters, but he's been pretty solid in the 4th quarter for the team.

Correct me if I'm wrong. If Portland wins and get .5 games behind us, we're still a game ahead of them because we won the season series right.

It's not even about pride for the Spurs. They'll want to win Monday because it'll potentially F up the Rockets' shot at HCA. Who do you think San Antonio would rather play in Round 2? Us or Portland? There actually is something on the line for them in that game. Hopefully someone makes sure McHale gets the memo and passes the word along to his players.

The defense is so porous, there's no adjustments or schemes by the coaching staff at all. Just horrible all around defense. This is where you miss a guy like Battier.

The way the Spurs been playing lately, they can beat us even with the big-3 sitting.

Wait. Are we really blaming the loss on Harden taking the last shot, rather than passing it to Lin? o_O
