I'm sorry, but that's asinine reasoning. How long did it take Lowry to reach his upside? How long did it take Dragic? How long did it take many many all-star level players to realize their upside. Not saying Lin is or ever will be that, but your logic is faulty.
Jeremy Lin's upside have been seen throughout his career here in Houston. Sadly, they are only seen in rare occasions. He has a lot of work to do, things to fix, and consistency to maintain. Who knows what his upside is, hopefully we'll see some glimmer of it in the playoff. We need every single one of these guys producing. Right now he is a Rocket, as a fan of this team, we have to support each and everyone of them. We will need it in the playoffs.
Oh wow. There are people this delusional? I'm utterly shocked that your lowest projection is that high. If Lin wasn't Asian he wouldn't be in the league after this contract ends.
Plus, I think it took Nash about 4-5 years to reach his potential. He had a lot of criticisms during his early years. Dragic was also named as, "Tragic" because he wasn't playing so great early on in his career.
oh really, only because he's Asian? I didn't know the NBA was out looking for any sucky Asian player to be on a team.
Unless he has a breakout playoffs, I think he is done if the Rockets can find someone that wants him. Yes, it is that bad.
you guys are bugging... as a starter hes avg 14.2 ppg on 45% FG and 37.5% 3P% that's not bad ...his numbers off the bench are lower (ppg & 3P%) but so are his mins... he's clearly a guy who needs to get into a rhythm...he seems to play better the longer he's in... and it's so painfully obvious he doesn't fit here, his skillset is too redundant to harden's... he needs to play more point and less 2 and on this team it's not going to happen. He's probably an 18/8 guy, give or take 2 pts given the right team, e.g., Knicks, Bulls, Lakers.
