Really? And how do you support that other than the dreaded eye test, otherwise known as your own opinionated opinion?
I was searching a thread in the dish to talk about Paul George who doesn't play well lately (offensively). I don't want a debate between Harden and George but i believe that he is overhyped. In his last 6 games : 37.5%FG (17.5FGA), 22% 3FG%, 7.5 Rebs, 3.5 Asts and 3 Tovs. Vs last year, he improved FG%, 3FG% and Tov but he has less assists and rebounds. Someone who is watching him regularly, i would like to tell me how far offensively could grow and defensively is he a lock-down defender or the team's defense covers his defensive weaknesses a lot of times ?
PG reminds me of a very poor man's T-Mac--with defense though. He is getting that offensive game but lacks the moves that many great wing players possess. I honestly don't see too much of it in Harden either.
This guy critiques everyone and their opinion yet check this out. 1-3 you nailed it. Just like everyone else. Good job! 4-9 you took your r****d pills. 4-Harden(Complete offensive player, good on ball defender, awful off ball defender) 5-Westbrook(Hasn't been the same as last year, but that was to injury) 6-George(Better two way player than Harden, but isn't as good on the more important side of the ball) 7-LMA(good rebounder, shot creator, team MVP of the 3 seed in the west) 8-Curry(improved defense, inconsistent offensively) 9-Melo(as well rounded as Durant in regards to shot making, but is extremely inefficient, defense isn't as bad as people claim) 10-Davis(injury issues, could be 4-6 based off most of this season, but its been half a season, people sure love change don't they) 10-Love(Great stats, doesn't play much winning basketball) He is like a supercharged version of Kevin Martin from the 4 spot. 4-6 are about as even as it gets. Tier 2 7-10 too much inconsistency on that side of the ball/ or not enough sample size
Condescension is such a valuable trait!!! so glad that some still have it! I don't even know why you bothered explaining your list, and you call me a r****d. I wouldn't call you one based on your list, just based on your narrow scope and complete disregard for the fact that 4-9 is completely subjective. Perhaps if you actually read my other post in this thread, you would have known that. I won't quote it again because your lack of comprehension is a sort that won't be helped, do it yourself and go sit in a corner.
If Harden played defense more consistently, he'd be the 3rd best player in the league, and if Love played defense ever, and could actually get his team to the playoffs, he'd be #4. If you are picking your team, I think you still have to go- 1. Lebron 2. Durant 3. CP3 4. Harden 5. Griffin 6. Howard 7. Love 8. George 9. Davis 10. Curry 11. Melo 12. Dirk 13. LMA 14. Westbrook/Lillard (tie IMO) 15. Noah
Your list is good, the only thing I would change is Melo from 11 up to 5. Like it or not, Melo and Harden are practical equivalents in what they bring to a team. I think Curry above Davis as well.
I still say Westbrook, besides his bad shots, he’s still the best defender at the 1 after 3 surgeries, gets to the rim easy, mid-range game, shoot 3, and brings that edge, heart and hustle you need in the playoffs that money just can’t buy.
Harden has surpassed Paul in my opinion. James has been as good as Lebron and Durant for the last few months.
Gotta chuckle at George getting almost half the votes. He's arguably not even Top 10 right now, though I'd probably have him at 9 or 10. 1. LBJ 2. Durant 3. CP3 4. Griffin 5. Harden 6. Davis 7. Curry 8. Love 9. Melo 10. George 11. Howard 12. Aldridge 13. Westbrook 14. Dragic 15. Noah
A year ago, I wouldn't have believed that I'd pick Griffin as the 4th best player. But he has really improved. I still don't like the guy, but have grown much respect for his game.
I think Griffin is easily the 3rd best player in the NBA and Harden is 4th. When this poll was made only 1-2 were solidified, but I think most people can agree with the top 4 as being 1. Lebron 2. Durant 3. Griffin 4. Harden
I must be the only one that thinks George is overrated. Yes he is a good defensive and offensive(not much anymore it seems) player but number 3? I would take westbrook over George any day. If you had one possession and can have George or Westbrook take the shot who would you take? Im taking Westbrook (even though i really really dislike him lol)
