Which would matter if sack count mattered. Even with 3 sacks, he was still the most disruptive defensive player in the NFL and it's not close. If he has that kind of disruption when he's on the Texans, JJ Watt will shatter the sack record.

All three( Clowney, Mack, Barr ) were disruptive. Mack and Barr more disruptive than Clowney because of their flexibility. Clowney says he can play every position on defense. We have yet to see that. The other two have already shown that they can.

Clowney hasn't played in the NFL... He was in college this past year playing a bunch of low ranked offensive teams and ended up with 3 sacks.

Funny how we can point to the level of competition Teddy Bridgewater or Mack played against but don't do the same for Clowney.

Clowney is by far the best prospect in the class but comparing him to LT is indeed ridiculous

Clowney's fluidity is no where close to Lawrence Taylors

For 2006, I agree. But that was a pretty unique draft circumstance. A true surprise pick is pretty rare.

Like i mentioned earlier, i would be happy with either of the three. What i am looking for is the one who can do it all.

LOL. I love the draft. If for nothing else than the ridiculous lengths that armchairs go to in order to justify their opinions. "Fluidity". Rofl McWaffles.

    Here's my take.

    Clowney's "asskickerization" dwarfs LTs.

Can I have a job at ESPN now? Lololol.

Right, and that's what we'll have to agree to disagree about, Barr is probably a first round pick, but Rick Smith would be fired on spot if he made him the first pick in the draft. I could see Mack being a contender for the first pick if Clowney didn't exist.

Clowney's hips aren't fluid like LTs

That fact that you would think so shows how ignorant you are of football

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is a classic strawman argument.

Clowney/Barr in the first 2 rounds would get me excited. Clowney/Savage would make me barf.

Hey you started it not me

You would compare Clowney to Reggie White in his prime if you weren't afraid risking getting laughed out of the building

Actually I didn't "start it", you were arguing with a straw man.

As to the Clowney comparison, it's hard to find a perfect comparison out there because he's bigger than LT and he's not really a Reggie White type because he's not that big. He's really a hybrid type a lot more similar to a more physically impressive Willie McGinest than anyone he's normally compared to.

LOL. Omg. That is the perfect comeback for someone who uses the word "fluidity" as if it is a scientific form of measurement. Too awesome. Thank you for the afternoon laughs.
