Folks, if you wanna get another star player, these are the guys that will be playing when we are forced to trade Lin and Asik. I really like Daniels, Canaan, and Covington. I think we just need a big body to back up Dwight Howard if we do indeed get rid of Asik. But other than that, Covington's length on D will be stellar. Daniels can straight score. If Canaan can be a floor general and knock down shots when needed, I think we will be all set to acquire that star player we need.

i've seen enough - dwight is a hit or miss in the post and asik has no post game. sign hakeem for the rest of the season with playoff incentives.

and how about mchale signs a player/coach contract for the playoffs so he can be the backup center? make him useful for the team ;)

But Troy Daniels did look good. Wouldn't mind see a few more mins from him albeit limited. Would be so good to have him if let's say Cisco, Casspi and some of our starters are cold with there 3's.

Exactly this, Daniel's jumper is what impressed me. Comes in cold off the bench with plane ticket in hand and sharp shoots like he is Ray Allen. If I am McHale, I could think up a role for him.

Slowest. Release. Ever. But if it goes in, it goes in. Can he defend?

I'm almost tempted to make a thread called:

"I've seen enough of the I've seen enough threads"

some of you numbnuts form your opinions about a player based on a really small sample size and, in extreme cases, on a game by game basis.....unreal

Troy Daniels is by far the best 3 point shooter we have on our team......if mchale and the rockets wanna go deep in the playoffs, then he needs to come of da bench....hands down.

we really need to give covington, casspi's minutes..and give daniels...garcia's minutes, i don't know why they are playing..CASSPI misses more open shots than any NBA player. and garcia isn't better. we need scoring off the bench not guys buying time until our starters can come back in....please get rid of garcia/casspi they haven't done anything to stay in the rotation

garcia is needed for his D and 3 even if he cant shoot it as well as daniels. NBA isnt about just making shots u know.

Casspi/Hamilton on the other hand are somewhat expendable.

As good as Daniels can shoot it, he's still a defensive liability. He's a 6'4 SG and not very bulky. He's smaller than Jeremy Lin. His ceiling is Luther Head.

Give him some minutes as a back-up 2, it can't hurt anybody.

other than playing Durant, Garcia's D = terrible fouls

3 games after Jham came to the Rockets, we had threads about how should Morey to find a way to resign him even if we will need to use the MLE.

Daniels should be in the rotation next season. And I'm not gonna say I know if he plays defense, but he did play for Shaka Smart at VCU when they had probably the best defense in the country and led them to the final four. For whatever that mean.

I could see Covington move into the rotation at Hamilton's expense. He has practiced with the team in addition to playing for the Vipers.

As long as this minimizes Casspi's time on the court, I am all for it.

I hope you're not seriously using the Nuggets game as evidence that these guys who have played two NBA games should be thrown into the fire a few games before the playoffs.

I did like what I saw out there from them though and hopefully they continue to develop. Although if we are seriously thinking of a title run I'd rather have a more veteran bench out there.

It won't happen now but next season I can see at least 2 of them getting some burn.
