The season overall wasn't great and Rappaport was generally terrible but I thought there was some really good dialogue throughout. Also the episode with Alan Tudyk I thought was as good a single episode as the show has had.
didn't think it was a bad season, still very good, but out of the 4 seasons probably the weakest, i kinda enjoyed the finale and thought the season finished quite strong, its a great show looking forward to raylen v boyd in the final season
Yeah, the last scene with her, Duffy and Boyd hinted that she was the alpha-ruthless-HMFIC and not her late husband, which is what the "smug little hobbit lookin' beaner ****bird" US Attorney seemed to think.
But seriously, how are you watching? I thought it was clear from when they introduced her in the hotel room that she was a boss type. Otherwise why would just the wife of some crime boss charge $50,000 to "consult" about Boyd? One thing, though, that always cracks me up about the show after the first couple of seasons. Boyd is a local crime leader. Duffy is a regional "Dixie Mafia" crime leader. Boyd at any time has a group of 2-3 guys and Duffy only seems to have Mikey. So...how do they have so much power? I understand it is a casting thing but still funny not to get some extras every now and then and make it look like they could actually be a big deal. It is like they blew that budget wi the Crowder Commandos and then the religious followers in the woods. After years of expansion it will be good for the final season to contract and just be Boyd, Raylin, Duffy (and maybe he can be a bit more lunatic killer again?), and the marshals (who did not have enough screen time with Raylan this season).
Love Justified. But this season was VERY weak. Total filler. Weak villians, Ava plotline was uber filler. Look forward to the last season. Hopefully they end strong and not peter out like they did this season.
Not sure how the Ava plot line is "uber filler" when it was all to set up her helping Raylan get Boyd.
She didn't need screen time every episode. Her position could have been set up in half the screen time she got. There was a lot of filler this season. Still one of the better shows currently airing, but everyone agrees that it didn't live up to the high standard of previous seasons.
They could have set that up in 1 episode. It was filler because they stretched it out over 12 episodes. Just my opinion. I was not a fan of the storyline.
I disagree that it could've been set up in one episode. It would've been highly unbelieveable for Ava to turn on him so fast. She was in love with Boyd and he had to regularly fail her for her to want to take that position, IMO. But I definitely agree that this season wasn't as strong as the others.
I liked this season...I liked that redhead chick, Kendall's mom. I am going to miss this show once it ends! What am I going to do without my weekly dose of Raylan Givens???
Just finished the season. I thought it was strong. I like how dark they took Raylan. And I have to say the song they've been using for the finales " You'll never leave Harlan alive" gives me chills. It's such a great song.
