    Good move by 790.

MaD Radio is going to take a major hit now.

    GREAT MOVE!

While I wish Matt and Adam were back, this significantly improves Houston sports radio!

So that ND Kalu/Koch show has only been an hour long all this time? Lulz. I wouldn't even bother doing that job.

I don't like CP going off the air so early, I'll have to listen to **** on late drives home in traffic. I want local, not ****.

    No, its always been 9-11.

Also, with baseball season going on (along with basketball playoffs), CP wouldn't have a show past 6:30 most of these days anyways.

    Great alterations.

I believe one of the reasons this was done was to get more air time for MT and CP while relegating Mohr to inconsequential hours esp with the Astros playing like almost everyday.

As it was, Charlie gets very little air time during Astros game days.

But wow, 4 hours of radio alone. As it is Charlie loves repeating stuff so be ready...

Seth Payne and Mike Meltzer have really grown on me during my lunch hour, not sure that I'd switch back to MT fulltime.

Good point on the Astros cutting into CP's window.

Didn't it always used to be 4 hours prior to the previous change when they first starting having Jay Mohr?

You're crazy. Seth Payne isn't bad, but those two could not hope to add up to half of the greatness that is MT.

I actually thought Jay Mohr always did a good job of propping up Houston sports.

He's a huge Luhnow fan, and in his recent Rays fans-bashing session, he was constantly propping up the Astros fans for their continued support of the team (of course, it was likely more because they were playing the Yankees, but still).

He's also a been touting Dwight and the Rockets, despite him being a Lakers-homer, mainly because he wants Dwight to shove it to the Lakers every single time for the dumb decisions they made.

Mad Radio and MT are the best radio shows period. Now i will have to flip back and forth. I can't stand Nick and John but listen to them because Lance and Adam make my ears bleed.

I would find him a little more tolerable, enjoyable even, if he didn't keep kissing up to San Antonio! The guy has a deep, deep, deep infatuation with SA, which makes me throw-up a little after every other show...

Agree, I just can't say that I enjoyed MT more than I currently enjoy Mad Radio. But it is nice having MT as an option on during lunch. I'll probably listen most on Tuesdays during Texans Talk or whatever its called with Marc Vandermeer.

As far as I remember it was MT 1-3 and then Charlie and Lance together 3-7.

I believe when Jay Mohr moved in, he went 11-2, MT 2-4 and CP 4-7 solo as this was about the time Lance got moved to the morning show.

Point remains as things stood with CP from 4-7 he would get really less air time with Astros pre-game festivites starting.

Take for example yday when he had only 90 minutes since Astros pre game started 5.30 CT.

Overall, a good move to promote local radio hosts and give them majority of the airtime.

Charlie and Lance were together for only a few months (if that). Charlie has been solo otherwise, and since he joined the network (at it's inception), it was a 4 hour show 3-7.

Matt also had a 3 hour show previously... glad to see him get back to that.

Basically, this just puts things back to the way it used to be. All local sports in the day-time/drive-time, and national shows moved to follow.
