I couldn't tell during the game but after looking at the gifs Schweinsteiger got there first. Rooney had to jump or he would have fallen flat on his face but he definitely turned it into a dive. I think either way it looked to be a bad challenge in real time and I don't thing the ref was wrong in the moment to have booked him. It was close and it was aggressive so he got the card. Man U still has no chance for the second leg.
Jeez. Could we just find a middle ground and settle on agreeing that BOTH players touched the ball? Since you two are finding it difficult to decide who touched the ball and just about every video, clip, gif, etc hasn't helped. Why is this still being debated? What difference will it really make next week? It's not like Bayern can't and won't win with Bastian out. Why is this "who kicked the ball" still being debated? What's the point??
Yes, Rooney embellished. But, Schweinsteiger shouldn't have put himself in the position where the ref was going to make that call.
Even if that wasn't a foul, Schweinsteiger should have still been booked for a second yellow solely based on being rude and trying to steal the ball away.
Arrogant Madrid playin without Ronaldo and behind 2:0 at half time, lovely. Would be hilarious if they were eliminated.
Sucks that I can't watch these games anymore now that I am a working professional. Wish I was back in college so I could skip class and to watch. There's no point in me being a fan of soccer anymore really.
Dammmnnn Dortmund almost forced extra time. Chelsea coming back as well! Too bad I missed the games...
I think is the first time I agree with you!! lol But I'm leaving around 1:30 pm tomorrow to catch the game!
Chelsea steals it from PSG late. I love it, Willian looking good but Hazard went down with an injury. Schurrle is playing huge too.
That was an outstanding game at Chelsea. PSG was dominant but laid back in the beginning, then Chelsea scores and the game opened up with both sides doing some great things. I don't really understand why PSG took Lavezzi off. He seemed the most dangerous to me and was doing great things with his feet and pace. It will be interesting to see what happens with Hazard. I will have to wait until the morning to watch RM/Dortmund but glad they we able to make a game of it as well.
Cavani the genius shows his worth. Right after complaining about being Ibra's second fiddle, he shows the world why Ibra will always be number 1.
